"november twenty two, doctor." said the blonde.

coincidentally, it's my birthday. jihoon thought to himself.

"you're right." the doctor agreed.

mind you that he almost ended up stuttering.

"wang jaeson, male, age fifty six. its recorded here that he's quite the big name in entrepreneurship." the doctor softly reads the printed paper.

"he's a good person except for the fact that he is secretly partaking in the black market in seoul but he's generous, participated in some charity works and donated money to quite a lot of orphanage, i bet you know him well." said the doctor, staring at him.

"oh, him? why would i forget about that old man? he's my last victim after all." said the blonde with a smirk, as if reminiscing about a good old tale.

"cause of death, burned alive in his condominium unit . the fact that you set the condo ablaze makes me wonder." said jihoon as the latter hummed.

"why did you do it?" he asked.

titling his head, the blonde stare at the latter, as if what he had asked does not make any sense."and what do you mean by why, doctor?"

"what's your reason? why did you kill him?"

"well, do i need one?" he asked before smiling.

"what?" jihoon could swear that his heart just did a summersault.

for a moment there, no one bothered breaking the silence.

it's not like the pink haired already comes up with an appropriate answer either. in fact, he's beyond shock with what the latter said that he glitch for a moment.

heaving an exasperated sigh, soonyoung runs his slender finger through his hair, pushing it back.

"its been a long time doctor." he answered.

"time flies and i forgot the reason for doing so, it's not like his death is important that i should keep it in my head twenty four seven, three six five." adds the blonde with a shrug.

having failed to acquire a decent answer, the pink haired could only slump his shoulder in defeat as he sighed.

if the blonde does not want to say the reason for doing so, then, all jihoon could do is respect his decision.

it's not like they were playing detective and this is not an interrogation where he needed to extract a plenty information from said suspect.

the last thing jihoon wanted is making things turn south, resulting in an awkward tension later on.

"how about your relatives? have you seen them at all? do they visit you?" jihoon asked, changing the topic.

"oh. them?" mumbled the blonde, as if he haven't heard the word relative for a decade.

"they're probably all dead?" answers the blonde nochalantly , leaning forward before resting his hands on the wooden table and intertwining his fingers together.

probably? jihoon thought to himself, confused by the vague answer.

"and why is that?" asked jihoon.

"come on jihoon, everyone is destined to die and it's not like they were prohibited from passing on and whatnot, as far as i can remember, i'm not an angel of death to keep records of the dead."

the name jihoon almost sounded illegal as it rolls perfectly from soonyoung's tongue, it almost felt like the name doesn't belong to said doctor.

seriously, this fucker. jihoon sighed, trying to calm his nerves down.

"i know, it's just i'm asking how? what happened to them? when did they die." jihoon replied.

"i don't know why you're so interested to listen to some tales from the past." sighs soonyoung.

"talking about random stuff is also a good way to passed some time." jihoon replied with a smile.

soonyoung momentarily stare at the latter before sighing in defeat, it's not like he also have stuffs to do so he could only agree.

"as far as the story goes, my father killed my mom when i was around nine." he casually said.

jihoon's heart aches at the reply."did you perhaps witness such thing?" asked the doctor, it took him all in order to stabilize his voice.

the blonde shook his head which made the doctor sigh in relief.

"doctor lee, are you perhaps stupid?" soonyoung asked with a stoic expression, accompanied by a seemingly uninterested tone.

"what-! excuse you?" jihoon asked, surprised and conflicted at the same time.

"i mean, if i witness such thing, that dear father of mine wouldn't have let me off the hook in the first place and would have killed me on the spot." said the blonde."seeing as i'm still alive, i probably did not witness it. heck, maybe I was not even in the scene."

jihoon didn't know what to say or reply. in fact, he was beyond speechless.

"if you're that curious, my aunt told me about all about it. since then, i've moved out and lived with my grandmother in the country side." soonyoung continued.

"and after, i've never heard of my father again, not even once but it isn't like i'm expecting to see him or something, i can't be bothered with him."

"but he's still your father-"

"if you were in my situation doctor, would you go and see your father who murdered your mother?" he asked, voice as cold as ice.

unable to off the blonde a reply, jihoon could only hang his head low.

"no, sorry-"

"enough with that one doctor, after all, he died five years ago, he committed suicide." he cutted jihoon off as he cleared his throat.

"so why talk about a dead man? it's not like he's an important topic, he's not even an interesting person to discuss, in the first place." he added.

"oh, right. what happened to your grandmother?" asked jihoon, determined to change the awkward atmosphere.

"her? she died when i was 13 or something?" he replied.

"what-"

"by the way, she's murdered." cutted the blonde, he had an inkling that jihoon would ask how his grandmother die.

i didn't expect that. jihoon thought.

"was the suspect arrested?"the doctor hesitantly asked.

"want to know who killed her?" the blonde said as the doctor furrowed his eyebrows."but i guess you wouldn't believe even if i tell you."

"you can tell me, i'll believe everything you'll say." said jihoon."i will listen to whatever it may be." he continued.

"lee young ho."

surprised, jihoon couldn't help but stopped at his track, his eyes widened in shock.

lee youngho? jihoon thought to himself.

if jihoon isn't tripping, the man named youngho is the same man who was known as the former head of the asylum.

he was the founder of the hospital and is probably one of the most sought after psychiatrist in the entire south korea.

he was a good senior to jihoon.

he trained jihoon well when he's still a new chick in the field and guided him until he'd became the person that he is today.

unfortunately, lee youngho died several years ago.

"lee youngho, you say?" jihoon hesitantly asked.
