"thank you for taking such good care of my cousin, i really appreciate your efforts and everything." the maroon haired man stated with a loving smile before bowing to the two doctors.

"oh, no need to thank us," jeonghan answered, matching his smile.

"actually, he's rather friendly to us as well, so it wasn't too difficult to look after him," wonwoo said, glancing at mingyu, who was standing near the car and staring at the scene.

without even attempting to listen or participate in the discussion

"oh, by the way, where did jihoon go?" jeonghan asked, scanning the area for the pink-haired doctor.

"is something wrong?" mingyu questioned as he approached them, taking noticed that there was a little confusion.

"uhm, yeah, not really," jeonghan explained, "it's just that jihoon isn't here anymore."

"perhaps he just went inside," the black-haired wonwoo speculated.

"hmm, you're probably right," agreed jeonghan with a shrug.

"jihoon?" murmured the maroon haired guy to himself, but jeonghan heard him.

"ah, yes. he was with us earlier, but he probably went inside," jeonghan foolishly said, describing jihoon to the new guy.

"oh, is he perhaps the short and pink-haired doctor who sat with you earlier?" asked the maroon.

"oh, did you see him?" wonwoo questioned.

he nodded but didn't say anything else; instead, he stayed silent while maintaining the same look.

"seriously, i understand that he's quite shy among strangers, but he should have at least greeted you since you're mingyu's cousin," jeonghan grumbled.

"give the poor man a break." sighs wonwoo.

"oh, no, no. it's ok," the maroon-haired one said, flashing them his killer smile, which could perfectly capture a woman's heart.

"i guess this is it for us," jeonghan stated, as they all agreed with his assertion.

"let's catch up next time like a normal person would with their friends," murmured wonwoo, flashing mingyu a final smile.

mingyu responded with a small nod."goodbye, doctor," said the tall and tan man as he got into the car and sat in the passenger seat.

as the two said their final goodbyes, the maroon haired guy did the same.

he started the engine and drove away as soon as he got into the car.

mingyu locked his gaze on the doctor in the mirror one last time as the black-haired beauty shrank with each passing second.

"today we're meeting up with the other guys," remarked the maroon haired man, his tone of voice substantially different from when he was speaking with the two physicians earlier.

"and who are we meeting?" mingyu questioned, completely uninterested in the subject.

"don't tell me you forgot about this one?" he asked, his dark eyes were displaying visible hostility.

mingyu remained quiet after recalling something that he'd rather forget.

he didn't feel dread when he locked gazes with his cousin because fear is the last emotion that comes to him when he sees this maroon-haired bastard.

"let's not forget why, kim mingyu," the maroon-haired said, "we faked your mental illness and admitted you to the asylum."

that is right.

since the day he entered the mentioned institution, kim mingyu, the guy who has shown tremendous and rapid improvement, has been absolutely fine and faultless.

the presence of the maroon-haired man signals the beginning of the danger; he's not the same pleasant, sweet, and compassionate person he used to show earlier.

he now has the appearance of a nasty guy who is prepared to kill everyone who stands in his way.

"you're not planning to flee and betray us now, mingyu, right?" he continued.

even inside the shockingly cold sedan they were sitting in, his voice sounded so authoritative and his eyes are so penetrating that they might bore a hole right through a person's soul.

mingyu struggled to keep his cool as he fought the impulse to tighten his jaw.

he desperately wanted to knock the living shit out of the person in front of him, but he could barely contain his rage and maintain his calm demeanor.

"i didn't, and i'm not planning anything," he said, his gaze fixed on the road ahead of them.

"well, that's good to hear. we're cool with each other then," the maroon-haired one said. "you know that, that's all i wanted to hear from you, buddy, right?" he added as he drove at full speed as if he owned the entire street.

just die, you fucking scumbag. mingyu cursed internally as he looked out the car window and admire the fading background to calm his nerve.
