the two individuals immediately turned at their backs when the lavender haired doctor called in hoarse voice. "wonwoo, jeonghan hyung!"

as soon as they saw him safe and sound, the two immediately let's out a relieved sigh.

well, he has a few scratches and bruises, but it's nothing he couldn't handle. more than that, they are more than glad to see the younger safe.

wonwoo cried, "jihoon!" and smiled in relief at the sight of his smaller friend.

on the other hand, jeonghan waited for the said guy to arrive outside before saying.

"jihoon! thank goodness, i'm more than relieved to see that you're okay."

the two had been informed earlier that they were not allowed to search the area for their lost friend and it has been killing them for awhile.

they wanted to sprint inside and give him a tight embrace, not caring if it would break their bones or whatsoever.

"well, is this your friend?" a police officer asked as they passed each other on the area.

judging from his positioning, it is obvious that he is ready to shoot at anyone who emerges from the asylum who shows any suspicious movement and activity.

he appears to be of the highest rank officer among those currently present while two other officers stands closely behind.

jeonghan responded by turning to face the officer and nodding, "yes, he is. so he's no harm."

the officer nod in understanding.

he then proceed to tell his men, "don't shoot, he's a civilian," and they responded by nodding their heads.

"copy that, sir,"

jihoon was just a few steps away from being the door and a little bit more and he would be out of this hell, back to his friends when he heard a voice calling out to him from distance.

it was none other than kwon soonyoung, who is currently a few steps behind the said doctor and is drenched in sweat and a few blood here and there.

"lee jihoon."

as soon as the said officer saw the blonde from a distance, he proceed to asked both wonwoo and jeonghan,

"hey, there's another person inside, that injured gentleman, do you perhaps know him too?"

the oldest of the three was unable to respond to the question at the unexpected appearance of a familiar face. wonwoo, on the other hand, spoke up after seeing jeonghan's uneasy pause.

after all, it was he who was the recipient of the blonde's unexpected message informing him that the jihoon is in great danger.

although he did exact what the blonde instructed him to do, wonwoo couldn't really bring himself to believed everything that soonyoung said.

well, it was already unethical for a professional psychiatrist like jeon wonwoo to do as what the psychotic soonyoung instructed him to do, but there wasn't much he could do.

"yes, we know him too. so it could help them out, we'd be grateful." wonwoo said, startling his older friend.

"wait, what-" but before jeonghan could finished his questions, wonwoo sneakily elbowed him.

the officer, oblivious to what the two were doing, hummed and nodded before turning to face his other subordinates.

he approaches them while only leaving wonwoo and jeonghan with the two officers who had been with him earlier and immediately gave his order, "send some medical help, there's exactly two injured citizens nearing the exit in a few seconds."

turning around, jihoon quickly face him, his eyes widening at the latter's state at the moment.

though far from where jihoon is, it's clear that the blonde appears exhausted and seriously hurt as he lets out heavy breathes and sweats dripping profusely.

his clothes were also stained with blood, clearly from his injuries.

jihoon was about to approach the latter when he was abruptly halted when the blonde shouted, "don't go over here!" startling not only the doctor but also a few people outside.

soonyoung moved forward a little bit, almost falling over.

"oh fuck, not now, kwon soonyoung. you cannot pass out at the moment." the blonde muttered to himself.

the doctor choked out, his brows meeting, "but you're terribly hurt right now! soonyoung, let's just get out of here together, please."

jihoon felt a tight hold on his wrist and gasped as he was tugged to that person's side.

it was none other than wonwoo himself, and right next to the doctor is a young-looking officer who appeared to be in a panic.

it is very clear that the young cop attempted to stopped wonwoo from entering the building but was ultimately unsuccessful and chose to follow him instead.

his name? vernon chwe.

jeonghan, however, remained outside with the other police officer.

the blonde shouted, "leave this area right away before the bomb goes off!"

even jihoon himself was shocked to hear what he had revealed, as were both wonwoo and the said officer.

vernon reacted by saying, "damn, i'm informing the others about this, so can you get your friends to safety outside?"

"yeah."

vernon, rather than being a typical police officer who follows rigorous rules and regulations like all the rest, he is a free-spirited man but he's got a good head on his shoulders.

"jihoon, let's go," wonwoo said as he tightened his hold on the man.

but instead, jihoon pleaded his friend, who recoils at the sight of his tears, "but wonwoo, i can't leave him."

the older hesitates, "but-," staring at the officer who had already delivered the news to the others.

the man who looks to have the highest command among the others ordered, "evacuate all the civilians around! and keep them as far away as fast as possible! i'm afraid to say that there is a bomb scare."

if jeonghan said that the scene right now is quite terrifying and that his heart is pounding so loudly, he wouldn't be lying.

he wanted to leave this place as well in order to protect himself, but he couldn't just leave jihoon and wonwoo inside.

noticing him, the cops then asked, "what are you doing? why are you still here? you need to leave this area immediately."

he was about to grab him, but jeonghan swatted his hands away and ran back inside the asylum in the direction of his friends without pausing to listen to anyone or turn around.

as a result, he failed to noticed that the entrance door's lock was broken, making it impossible for the officer to pursue him further.

when they heard a huge explosion coming from above, both jihoon and jeonghan flinched.

the blonde begun to mutter an expletive while gazing up at the stairs, "goddamnit."

having no other choice, the blonde force himself to approach the three despite his injuries as he gently cupped jihoon's cheeks.

"hoon, please listen to me." he softly said."i want you to leave with them now."

jihoon stubbornly shook his head, dismissing the latter's plead.

soon after, a familiar voice shouted from above, "kwon soonyoung! where the hell are you?! stop being a coward and show yourself!"

although it wasn't very close, it wasn't too distant either.

and they all know exactly whose voice it is since it was none other than jiwon himself.
