Raina's POV.

After Leia had her baby Raina noticed the way Luke looked at him. It was almost a look of wishfulness. She shook it off, knowing she was probably just imagining things. She knew he had admitted to wanting a family like her, but she also knew it wasn't at all close to the want she had.

Holding her nephew in her arms had been something incredible. It was as if she had always been meant to hold a child in her arms. Though Raina was ecstatic for Han and Leia, she also wished the baby she had been holding for a short period of time had been her own.

A day later after Leia had rested, everyone went to the small room to see the baby. The parents had specifically called them. Han stood close next to the bed tha Leia and the baby were in. Raina could feel waves of pride coming from the two parents. She could also feel pride coming from Luke.

The people in the room included: Han, Leia, the baby, Luke, Raina, Chewie, and Winter. Ian was at the ship with Threepio.

"We called y'all here because we've finally chosen the kid's name." Han smiled.

"We wanted it to be a name that meant something important. Something personal and special to us. All of us." Leia said.

"With the birth of the New Republic we wanted a name that represented sacrifice. . . and hope."

Emotion filled the room as everyone thought of the sacrificed that were made to give birth to the New Republic. The people that were lost and the years of pain that were endured. An unintentional moment of silence came over the room. It had been a long difficult struggle, but through it hope was born.

Leia looked up expectantly at her husband. He gave her a gentle smile and looked at the group.

"His name is Ben. Ben Solo."

Everyone was happy with the choice, but for Luke it meant something special. Raina could tell. She could feel waves emotion coming from him. They were naming their son after his first and most beloved master.

"Ben? As in. . ."

"Obi-Wan Kenobi? Yes." Leia smiled.

Luke let out a breathy laugh. "W-why?"

"He's the one who brought us all together. We all wouldn't be here without him and neither would the New Republic." His sister answered.

Han nodded. "And don't forget the sacrifice he made for us. Without that we wouldn't have been able to rescue Leia and Raina and we never would have escaped the Death Star. As Leia said, he's the reason we're all here together right now."

"And he's also the reason for the new hope we have in the Jedi." Leia added.

Luke was speechless. "I. . . .Th-Thank you. Thank you both. It means a lot to me, personally."

Leia and Han nodded with warm smiles.

"There's one other thing we know that you both will be his aunt and uncle, but we also want to make it clear that he has another uncle." Han said. "Chewie, you may not be family by blood, but you're our family and you're the only family I've got. I don't want my kid thinking of you as nothing other than family so. . .will you be his uncle as well?"

Chewbacca grinned widely and growled an affirmative yes. He went over to his best friend and hugged him.

Han laughed lightheartedly. "I love you too, pal."

After saying goodbye to Maz and thanking her, they all departed. Leia was still recovering from the delivery, but insisted that she come along to Corellia and return the boy. Han had even tried talking her out of it, but to no avail. She was a very stubborn woman.
