Luke's POV.

Two days had passed since Luke had been sold to Unkar by Boba Fett's daughter. Luke was still unable to connect to the Force.

Thirty-nine hours. That was how long he had spent in Unkar's holding room. He wasn't alone either. Four other innocent people were being kept as well. A woman and her son, a young man and a young female twi'lek. Each of them being held in cages on Unkars ship.

The heat was almost unbearable and the food was close to nothing. Luke had tried everything, but there was no escaping. Not without his lightsaber, blaster, or use of the Force. He had nothing.

He had tried talking to the others, but the woman and son didn't speak basic and the young man was unable to speak. The twi'lek also seemed unable to understand him as well, for she didn't respond to him.

Luke sat against the wall. He gazed at the mother and child. He felt sadness come over him. They shouldn't have been there with him. They should have been on their home planet in their home with their family. Safe. He watched how the mother held her son close. She wanted to protect him that's as clear. To shield him from all the bad in the world, even in their current situation. He immediately thought back to his wife. Without a doubt he knew that if she were in the same situation with their child she would be doing the same.

Their child.

That was something that he hadn't thought of in a while. A child. Having a child with Raina. It was something that seemed almost impossible now. Especially now, but even before it felt crazy just to even consider the idea.

He and Raina having a son or daughter and trying to raise it in the middle of an out of control galaxy. It was a bad idea. So very bad, yet he wanted it. He wanted it so much.

He had pushed the idea back for years after they had talked. Finally he pushed it away so much that it almost seemed to have disappeared completely. As if he had come to accept the fact that they just never would.

Now though, in his most helpless moment, he couldn't help, but wonder and wish. If only they could have a chance at a normal life.

And what now? Would they even get that chance? Would he ever see Rina again? His head fell back against the, now warm metal. So many things ran through his mind. Missed opportunities, missed chances, regrets, things he wished he'd said or done differently.

Would he ever have the chance to experience a true full marriage with his wife? Could he? A family? Fullness? Completeness? Something his sister had, but their parents weren't able to.

Closing his eyes he licked his lips. They were cracked and dry.

"I'm scared."
A small voice spoke.

It was barely audible, but Luke heard it and he opened his eyes. Looking around he glanced at each cell. The mother and child sat with one another as she hummed to him in another dialect and rocked him back dm forth, the young man lay on the floor sleeping, but the twi'lek in the cell next to his glanced at him.

Luke glanced out of the corner of his eyes wondering if it had really been her speaking or or if he was already hallucinating. He had trained against hallucinating in desperate times and situations so he didn't believe that was the case. At least he hoped it wasn't. He at least hoped his mind would stay in tact a while longer than just a couple days.

He looked back carefully. "What?"

She slowly turned to gaze at him. She held her knees to her chest as she sat on the ground. Her mouth opened, but at first no sound emitted and Luke's heart dropped, but then he got a surprise.
