Raina's POV.
Two weeks had passed since she and Luke had returned from Naboo. Leia's due date was getting closer and closer. Han and Chewie had returned from their trip to Kashyyyk, but were immediately sent out on another mission. This time to Hosnian Prime where they escorted three New Republic senators.
Raina and Luke in the mean time had been busy teaching. The younglings had finally started understanding levitation and Jacen had left the day before on his first lone mission. He wasn't completely alone, though. Luke had insisted on him taking Artoo along. Originally the droid was reluctant to leave his dear friend, but after Luke talked to him, he went along happily.
Raina and Luke, as usual, were kept busy training the rest of their students. To say it was a bit overwhelming was an understatement. They had again gained two new students. A human named Jaina Tolkín who was eighteen years of age and her brother a youngling named Kayden joined the temple a week earlier.
Jaina was extremely gifted with the Force. Luke had taken it upon himself to train her personally, along with the normal classes. Though, he did not consider himself to be her official master.
Raina busied herself with training the young one's. Many of them showed great promise. They all were willing to learn and had a connection to the Force. In all honesty, she enjoyed teaching them the most. They were so young and innocent.
They all had that same wide eyed look that every one has had at one has had at one time in their life. A kind of wondrous and imaginative observation of the galaxy. An observation that, sadly, disappears the more one sees and experiences the galaxy first hand.
The same way her own sense of wonder had slowly disappeared until finally one day she woke up to find that sense of wonder to have vanished, as if into thin air. For her it happened fast. Faster than it did for most. She was only a young girl when her mother had died and only a few years later, when she was thirteen did her true child-like view finally disappear.
Raina had just gotten done training the children. She was on her way to her bedroom to rest before dinner, when she felt Luke approaching from the east hall. He was just as tired or more so, than she was. Not a surprise since he had spent the whole morning looking through the archives when he wasn't training the older students. Yes, he was still trying to figure out the Prophecy of The Chosen One.
It wasn't long before he appeared next to her.
"Hey, I've been looking all over for you." He greeted her.
"I just got finished with classes. I'm on way up to our room. Thought I'd get a bit of rest before dinner."
Luke sighed heavily and nodded. "Sounds perfect."
Raina glanced at him with a smirk as they entered the elevator. "You know there was a time not so long ago when you would have had that same reaction, but not towards taking a nap."
The steel doors closed as he looked at her with an eyebrow raised. An amused grin grew on his lips as he turned his head back towards the double sliding doors. "You make it sound as if I were an old man."
She laughed. "You said it, not me, Grand Master Skywalker."
"Oh, so that's how it is?" He smiled.
She giggled nodding her head. "That's how it is. . ."
"Okay, you know what? Forget the resting. If it's a young, romantic, husband you want, then it's a young, romantic husband you'll get."
Luke backed her up against the metal wall as she giggled. "Oh really?"
He leaned his face down towards her own. "Mhmm. I'm gonna to prove you so wrong, Mrs. Skywalker, that you will never be able to call me old again."
