Chapter 6

I immediately rose from the bed when I realized what time is it already. Linggo nga pala ngayon at lalabas kaming tatlo nina Rich at Jah. I glanced at the clock on the bedside table to check the exact time and it says 8:24 AM. Shemmy! I'm almost a half hour late sa napagkasunduan naming oras. I should've been there by eight o'clock, yet I just woke up. I haven't even get myself dressed up yet and just the thought of it made me worry about how Rich is freaking out right now.

It's all his fault! Sino pa, e di si JP. Kung hindi siya tumawag kagabi, dapat ay maaga akong nakatulog. Sana ay hindi ako napuyat at sana ay maaga akong nagising ngayong umaga. Kahit na gusto pang bumagsak ng mata ko ay pinilit kong tingnan ang phone ko.

I missed four calls. All came from Rich. She might be so mad right now at paniguradong puputaktihin ako ng talak ng babaeng yun mamaya.

8 unread messages. I assumed those texts were from Rich as well or maybe from Jah. But I would lie if I'd say I didn't expect any message from him this morning. I smiled but immediately shook the thoughts away.

Isa-isa kong binasa ang mga text and I was right because they all came from Rich--the usual Richelle Jasmine Alcantara I've known for eight years. Puro talak. Ugh, what more pag nagkita na kami mamaya.

I put down my phone and sighed in dismay. Is it because none of those messages came from JP? I wanna believe it's not the reason, but hell yeah! It exactly is.

I grabbed my robe and went in the bathroom. Sana ko na poproblemahin tong kalandian ko. I need to see Jah and Rich first.

Just the moment I stepped my very left foot out of the car, pakiramdam ko ay unti-unti na akong nauupos sa sama ng tingin sa akin ni Rich. I locked the door of my car and approached them.

"Mabuti naman at nakahabol ka pa? Aba, talagang pinatapos mo ang misa bago makarating, huh?", nakahalukipkip na saad niya.

"It's okay Cars, 'wag mo na lang pansinin 'tong si Rich. Parang di mo  naman kilala yan. Palibhasa kasi di pa nagkakalove life.", Jah said grinning at Rich.

Pero totoo naman. She really never had been in a relationship yet. As in, no boyfriend since birth. Minsan nga nagwoworry na ako. At her age, dapat lang na may kasintahan na siya. Marami namang nagattempt na ligawan siya, but she always rejects her suitors. Ewan ko ba, she keeps on telling me that she just doesn't feel like having a boyfriend yet.

"Excuse me!", Rich exclaimed. "At pano nadamay dito ang lovelife ko? Hay, kaloka kayo! Tara na nga. Hoy Caridad! May atraso ka pa sakin ha. But you can just treat me instead para patas na tayo.", aba at ginawa pang excuse ang pagkalate ko.

"Fine. Fine. Sagot ko kayo ngayon. Tutal, gusto ko ring icelebrate ang success ko. Thanksgiving kumbaga."

"That's what I like about you Cars. You're so generous. Hindi talaga ako nagsising binest friend kita.", she added while giving me a wide smile. "Di tulad ng iba dyan, masyadong kuripot. Hmp!"

"Hoy! Ang kapal mo a. Kuripot ba yung ako ang nagbayad ng kinain natin kahapon?", Jarred defended.

"You went out yesterday? Just the two of you?", I asked. Aba at nagdedate pala sila nang hindi ko alam. I noticed Rich's face turned red.

"Hindi no. It's just that we coincidentally met at the resto.", Rich explained.

"Well if that's what you say.", I teased her. But she just rolled her eyes on me.

"Tara na nga!", Rich went to her car before I was about to tease her again. I turned to Jah and smiled at him to death.

"What?", then he left as well. Wow. Itong dalawang ito, kung makareact akala mo teenager pa. I just laughed before I went to my car. As I was about to start the engine, my phone rang. I felt a sudden excitement. Especially when I saw JP's name on the screen. And before I could change my mind, I took his call.

Shemmy naman! Ito ba yung tinatawag kong MOVE ON?
