KHAIRI'S POV

Today is Saturday, no work for neither I nor Ayaan. I started my housemanship already but I won't be going today.

I woke up to an empty bed. Ayaan is nowhere to be seen. He must be down stairs,I thought. I lazily dragged myself to the toilet, retched, took a shower before coming out and decide to wear something simple. A grey long sleeve crop top and shorts

I tied my hair in a messy ponytail before walking downstairs to the kitchen when I the aroma of food hit my nostrils and I literary jumped to the kitchen. There I saw Ayaan making breakfast
Scrambled eggs, muffins,French fries, waffles, pancakes and hot chocolate.

"Good morning sweetheart" he said not looking back and i smiled

"How did you know it was me?" I asked pouting and he chuckled deeply

"I heard footsteps and who else lives in this house other than you and I ?" He smiled now turning back to look at me with a grin on his face

"Louritta is here" i replied. Louritta is the woman who helps me around the house. Ammie is the one who brought louritta when she found out I am pregnant. Louritta is in her early thirties, she's not married. I smiled remembering when i asked louritta about marriage

"Louritta, why didn't you get married?" Khairi asked sitting on the stool by the kitchen island per louritta's orders as she asked her to sit down and don't do any work

"Khairi,I always want to get married to the person I love, who will love me for who I am,who will love me in good times and bad. I almost got married to this guy, Dave. I loved him and well he loved me too,or so I thought. When his mother found out I was barren, she called off the wedding in the most drastic way. I didn't know what hurt more, losing a loved one or finding out that I'll never get to hold my own baby in my arms. The shame Dave's mother brought on my family was too much and I couldn't stay there knowing I was the cause of their misery,so I left home,my hometown, in fact, country and came here. Your mother was the one who took care of me,I was 22 years old when I came here. She gave me a job in her restaurant and now here we are 10 years later. When I found out that her daughter was expecting and she's looking for someone to help her daughter I volunteered immediately and here I am" louritta replied with a sigh
