INT. HONESTY TEEN LOUNGE – NIGHT

Torie, Shae, and Mo enter. Torie is on a mission, but the other girls are inspecting their surroundings.

SHAE

I don't know how you talked us into allowing a perfectly unknown stranger into our group.

MO

You do know you have to invite one of these people into your house, right?

TORIE

I'm going to need positive energy. There could be some really great talent here.

SHAE

Or rejects from The Voice.

TORIE

There's Jaxson.

They sit in the front as Jaxson takes the stage to applause.

JAXSON

How ya'll feeling tonight?

The crowd cheers.

JAXSON (CONT'D)

We've got some special guests in the building. Please help me welcome the lovely and exceptionally talented FTW.

The girls wave at the cheering cloud. Jaxson winks at Torie. She blows a kiss back.

JAXSON

You know how this works. If you think you've got what it takes, this is your moment. Who wants the mic?

CUT TO:

Singer 1 stands on the stage. Starts a cover of "Love Don't Cost A Thing," by Jennifer Lopez.

The screen splits and Singer 2 appears onstage adding "What What A Girl Wants" by Christina Aguilera in a pop mash-up.

Another split as Singer 3 covers "I Wanna Be Down" by Brandy. She makes eye contact with Jaxson who's now sitting next to Torie. He holds her gaze.

Another split as Singer 4 sings, "Fallen" by Alicia Keys.

In the final split, Singer 5 covers "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie.

The mashup ends, and we're back to one screen as Torie, Shae, and Mo applaud, impressed.

INT. HONESTY TEEN LOUNGE – NIGHT

Torie, Shae, and Mo move to the back where the five performers have gathered.

TORIE

Hi. I'm Torie, this is Mo and Shae.

Mo smiles. Shae wiggles her fingers in a hello. Neither fully on board with what's happening.

TORIE (CONT'D)

We thought your performances were amazing. So amazing that we want to offer one of you an opportunity to be a part of our group.

The singers exchange looks.

SINGER 1

We really appreciate the offer, but we were thinking about starting own group.

SINGER 3

Love your music, by the way.

They walk away.

MO

It just wasn't meant to be.

SHAE

Can we go now?

Jaxson returns to the stage.

JAXSON

We've seen seem amazing performers do their thing tonight, but we are just getting started. Who's ready to blow us away?

Savannah emerges from the crowd. Makes her way to the stage. Jaxson mutes the mic and whispers to her. She whispers back.

JAXSON

Show some love to Savannah.

Torie claps along with the crowd, curious. Jaxson hands Savannah the mic and walks offstage. Savannah looks out at her audience, nervous but pushing through. A pop/rock ballad plays and she sings. Beautifully. Torie is stunned. Her performance ends with a rousing applause.

INT. HONESTY TEEN – NIGHT

Torie, Mo, and Shae meet up with Savannah.

TORIE

Savannah, wow. That was incredible.

SAVANNAH

Thanks. I actually came here because I saw your post. I thought if you guys heard me sing...

TORIE

You're in.

SHAE

Excuse us for a second.

She pulls Torie and Mo aside.

SHAE (CONT'D)

What are you doing?

TORIE

She's good. Really good.

MO

I hear the choirs looking for new members.

SHAE

I don't know if you noticed, but her style isn't exactly our style.

TORIE

We can work with that. Trust me. Savannah's the real deal. We can't let a voice like hers slip away.

Torie turns back to Savannah.

TORIE (CONT'D)

Say hello to the newest member of FTW.
