TORIE
I'm afraid of sushi.
ABRAM
Sushi?
TORIE
Raw food in general. I've heard stories. It's disgusting.
TRISTEN
I'm not eating raw fish.
FLYNN
Guys. It's not all raw.
INT. SUSHI BAR – DAY
Torie's holding a Philadelphia roll with chopsticks.
SAVANNAH/TRISTEN/FLYNN/ABRAM
Take a bite. Take a bite.
Torie bites into it. She makes a face. Her faces relaxes.
TORIE
It's actually pretty good.
ABRAM
It's a whole experience. You have to try it with everything.
Savannah dips hers into the wasabi and tastes it. Her mouth is on fire!
SAVANNAH
That's really, really hot.
ABRAM
Baby.
She sucks down her water. Tristen smiles.
TRISTEN
Are you good?
Savannah laughs.
SAVANNAH
You could have warned me first.
TRISTEN
Hey, I'm just as new to this as you are.
Flynn snicker, covering his mouth. Looks at Abram.
FLYNN
I totally see what you mean.
Savannah gets a text. She checks her phone.
SAVANNAH
It's my mom.
FLYNN
Your mom? The school probably called her. What if they called my parents? I knew this was a bad idea.
SAVANNAH
No. I told her to text me if she heard anything from UCLA.
TORIE
And?
Savannah puts her phone back down.
SAVANNAH
I can't look. Not now. What if I didn't get in?
TRISTEN
Of course you got in. They'd be stupid not to see how amazing you are.
Savannah's falling for his charm all over again.
ABRAM
I'd like to make a toast in honor of potential. To Savannah. She can't handle wasabi, but that's only because she's one of the coolest girls I know.
Torie follows his lead.
TORIE
To Abram, he can easily push your buttons, but you learn to love him.
TRISTEN
To Flynn, he may not be big on talking, but once you get to know him you realize you've been missing out.
FLYNN
To Torie, a tad less conceited than I originally thought, but she has a big heart.
SAVANNAH
To Tristen...
Everyone waits to see what she has to say.
SAVANNAH (CONT'D)
He has his moments of lapsed judgment but...he still manages to be a decent human being.
TORIE
