INT. LOBBY – DAY
They boys meet back with the girls who are sitting on the floor on their phones. The line has barely moved.
ABRAM
Is this seriously how you're going to spend your day?
TORIE
That's what we came here for?
Savannah climbs to her feet.
SAVANNAH
My legs are getting restless. Let's just walk around until the line at least gets inside the store.
TORIE
Fine. But if I miss out on the chance to sing for JT, my broken dreams will be on all of your hands.
ABRAM
I've lived with worse.
Savannah helps Torie to her feet.
TORIE
What are we doing?
TRISTEN
Whatever we want.
MONTAGE
TOY STORE
-Abram rides by on a skateboard. Torie rides by on skates. Savannah rides by on a small bike. Tristen rides by on a hoverboard. Flynn rides by on a scooter.
-Tristen and Flynn slap each other with sticky hands.
-Savannah tries to juggle puffer balls. Abram tosses her another one and she drops them all.
-Torie wiggles a beanie baby in Abram's face.
-They take turns throwing bouncy balls into a bin. Abram turns his back to it. Tosses the ball. It goes in. They celebrate!
ESCALATOR
They ride up the escalator, one behind the other, all wearing shades.
CLOTHING STORE
-They take turns trying on different clothes inspired by classic teenage movies.
Torie: Cher's plaid yellow outfit from Clueless.
Savannah: Missy's cheerleading tryout outfit from Bring it On.
Abram: Lloyd's long coat from Say Anything.
Tristen: Devon's yellow bandanna and blue and yellow A&T uniform from Drumline.
Flynn: Marty's red vest outfit from Back to the Future.
-They pose in the display windows in their regular clothes. Mannequin challenge.
ESCALATOR
They ride down the escalator. Another mannequin challenge.
INSTRUMENT STORE
They play around on the instruments pretending to be a band. Abram on drums, impressed by Tristen's snare skills. Flynn's on sax. Savannah's on keyboard. Torie takes the mic playing guitar.
ITALIAN FAST FOOD
-They share a pizza, having a good time.
-Torie's about to take a group selfie. Savannah and Tristen are noticeably distant. Torie gestures for them to squeeze in. They glance at each other. Move closer. Torie takes the photo.
