# CHAPTER 28
….before the explosion.
Chloe woke up from her beautiful dream and realized it's not going to happen so she slowly sat up and can't recognize where she was until she remembered what happened to her before she passed out. She immediately stood up and began to bang the door with her arms, trying to create some loud noises, hoping that there's someone outside.
But there's no one.
She looked around and saw the vent air, she put away the things that was over the table and pulled it so she can stood up on it and reached the vent.
It wasn't locked so she pulled it open and saw a hose that was connected to somewhere. She went up and followed the hose which she knew where the smoke came from. She just followed it until she stopped by another vent, she opened it and saw what's inside.
It's the monitoring room.
But not Beca's monitoring room, she knew what her girlfriend's monitoring room looks like. There's not a lot of computers there.
She went down when she noticed that there's no one in there.
She walked to the big screen and saw some footages coming from surveillance cameras. She knew that there's no CCTV inside the house, it's just outside but these footages are coming from the inside. She can see the empty living room where the camera was placed on one of the picture frames. The swimming pool area where the camera was hidden well in one of the pots.
There are so many hidden camera and Chloe couldn't help the curse out of her mouth when she saw one of the camera was in Beca's bedroom. She was so upset that her hands began to tremble on its own.
All this time they can see us?
Chloe looked around to find the main computer but she doesn't know how to identify them coz there's no keyboard anymore.
She then noticed a camera, just on the upper part of the computer in front of her. It's so small that you won't notice it, just the red light on it. A sign that it was on. Chloe smirked, she slowly licked her middle finger before showing it to the camera and went out of the room.
Chloe was running when she heard some gun shots upstairs near the living room area. She was nervous but also determine to help so she slowly walked to where the sound came from. She was being careful though, she's trying to wait for the sound to cease.
When she reached the part of the stairs, she saw Aubrey helping Stacie to take a step. Her jaw clenched as she watched the couple struggling, Aubrey had a wound but had an adrenaline to just ignore it so she can help Stacie.
When the shooting ceased, she came out of where she was hiding, startling Aubrey and Stacie. What made Chloe bit her lips in anger was an unbelievable sight of Amy who's helping them out. Amy immediately aim her gun to Chloe while the other woman had her own gun to Stacie, Aubrey immediately blocked her but the brunette held her arm to stop her.
"Go!" Amy shouted at them but Chloe reloaded the gun and aimed it to Stacie again. Exactly to her head.
"Before I even fall on this floor, I'll make sure her head would've a hole, Aubrey Posen. I swear to god." Chloe said with her gritted teeth.
"Just let us go!" Aubrey shouted, she's in a serious pain but Chloe doesn't care.
"Really? Why are y'all doing this to Beca? She never do anything to you!—
"It's none of your fucking business!" Stacie shouted. "Have you even remember why I can't walk properly right now?"
"You deserve that."
