Chapter 12

I splashed water on my face and looked myself in the mirror.  I don't know how to face Tzuyu after she gave me a very obvious tip. I couldn't forget her eyes before she left. Last night, I even dreamt of her pushed me against the wall and kissing me fiercely.

Now I knew why am I getting the 'jealousy' vibe from Tzuyu when I interacted with Momo and Prince Yuta. Was she thought Prince Yuta and I are couple? Eww~No.

I approached the dining table. They sensed my existence and looked up. "Mina, we had invited Prince Yuta having dinner tonight and further discuss the proposal." Father will definitely accept the offer. He liked the proposal and I was happy for him having his own company, but deep down I was a bit worried, might be the unknown challenges will be facing ahead.

"Good morning, everyone." I greeted my team. They arrived earlier than me. Tzuyu was normal as usual, maybe I worried too much on how to behave around her.

"Code Blue. Level 1. Emergency department."
A calm voice reported through the speaker. 

Something bad must've happened, last time this occurred was around 200 injured 3 dead in an earthquake. I quickly briefed the procedure to my residents. They were a bit anxious throughout the briefing.
"You can do it! Team B!" I shouted out to them to boost their confidence. They responded to me with a 'Hwaiting' pose.
We hurried downstairs to find out what happened.

Everyone was running around to get supplies. Two nurses were pushing a stretcher bed towards the surgery room. The patient on the bed was bleeding heavily. A girl following beside him was crying in distress.

I looked towards the main entrance. There were more patients coming in. Then I saw a familiar face. It was Sana.

I ran over to her in worry. She was laying on the bed unconsciously. I stared at her face while helped the nurse pushing the stretcher bed to the observation area. The nurse pulled the privacy curtains around the space. "Satang....Satang...Satang..." I kept mumbling her name while searching up the drawer eagerly, the blurry sight wasn't helping at all.

The next moment I knew was Tzuyu pulled me. She hold onto my shoulder and wiped my tears. "Sana is fine, her breathing pattern is normal." I looked into her eyes. Her firm and caring eyes soothing me and reminded my role as a doctor. She lifted my hands and helped me put on latex gloves.

"Thank you."

I stepped forward and inspected Sana's condition. I shined a bright light into her eye with a mini torch. The pupil constricts. "The brain got no problem." "There was swelling on her left forearm, probably fracture, but there is no cut." Tzuyu informed. I lifted up Sana's blouse. There was a purplish bruise on the abdominal area. "CT scan required," I ordered and covered back her blouse. The nurse nodded and started pulling the stretcher bed. Tzuyu pulled the curtains to let the nurse out.

"Wait!" Tzuyu shouted. I then heard Sana coughing. Sana was awakening. I saw Sana blinking her eyes. "Satang, do you hurt?" She replied to my question with a whimper. "Where?" She was about to cry. "Everywhere." My poor Satang. "Rate your pain on a scale of 0 to 10." "7." She shed tears. "Satang, everything will be alright. The nurse will take you to run a few tests. Please follow the instructions of the technician." "Are you going with me?" How could I possibly say no to the teary puppy eyes, but I still have the duty of care to other incoming patients and help my residents when they need instructions.

"Tzuyu, could you please accompany Sana?" Tzuyu nodded and Sana looked a bit disappointed. I saw Tzuyu caressed her head as they moving farther away. I didn't know if I was making a bad decision or not.
