I couldn't sleep that night, I cried all night, scrolling through our photos. "Dr. Mina, are you alright?" Yuri's voice pulled me back to reality, my mind wandering to Momo again. "Yup, I'm sorry. What was your question again?" Yuri was examining a patient and queried the uncertainties. "Do the patient need IV fluids?" I looked over the unconscious patient then looked down at the admit note, considered the overall condition before replied: "Yes."

"Dr. Mina, you need some rest." Yuri pointed out the dark circles under my puffy eyes while we walking at the corridor, even makeup couldn't cover my misery. "I'm ok, I'll take a rest during lunch break." I gave a reassuring smile to prove my sanity, then we went into another room continued our rotation.

Common area
"Mina." I looked up, Tzuyu came over to me during lunch time. "You looked really tired." She crouched to be on the same eye-level as me. I avoided her hand trying to touch my face. "Tzuyu, I need some rest. Could you please have lunch with the other resident? I don't feel like eating." She seemed troubled by my distant move. "Alright." She stood out and walked away. I leaned back and closed my eyes, my mind drifts off to the days we're together. A tear was forming but I wouldn't let it fall, they said if you looked up, the tears wouldn't fall, but how about the trembling lips. I felt a softness touching my lips. My eyes were wide open to witness the culprit. The familiar scent, her long eyelashes, Tzuyu was kissing me. I instantly pushed her away. "What are you doing?" I scolded. "Please don't cry." She crouched down again. "Please leave me alone," I said coldly. She still maintained in the same position. "I break up with her. Are you happy now?" I added, my voice was shaking. "I'm sorry." She made an apology, holding the hands on my lap. I escaped from her grip. "Tzuyu, I'm not ready. Please give me some time." I expressed in a soft tone. She shrugged down her shoulder, this time she really left the room.

I hid in the room after work. I lied to my parent that I already had dinner with Yu Ming which I don't. I asked them to not interrupt me. I really wanted to ask Sana how that person is right now, probably crying her eyes out like me. I looked at the screen multiple times but didn't dare to press the send button. I shouldn't do this, we both need time to over this phase. She needs Sana by her side. I hope Sana can treat her better, but I felt heartbroken to imagine them together. You deserved it, Minari, you broke her heart. I locked my phone and buried myself on the pillow.

Ding!
The screen lightened up. My eyes were filled with tears, I couldn't make out whom with my blurry sight. I wiped my tears and unlocked my phone.
Nayeon
"Knock knock!" What?! Really?
"Who's there?" I decided to go with the flow.
"Bunny." She does look like a bunny.
"Bunny who?"
She sent a picture of her teeth captioned "Bunny Teeth."
"It's very lame." Yet lighten up my mood.
"Bunny teeth want to video call you."
"No." I quickly replied because I don't want to let her see my swollen eyes.
"But bunny teeth miss you." A little suspicious.
"We're not that close." I replied frankly. She didn't reply immediately. Am I gone too far? Just then a message popped up.
"TT. You're so mean."
"😛" I smiled, remembered that's a song of Twice. Momo likes Twice a lot. I miss Momo. The feeling of loneliness was slowly swallowing me in again.

"Do you want to hear a story?" Her message pulled me back.
"What story?" I needed some distraction.
"The story better tell through spoken narrative."
"You could call me through voice call." I insisted on not revealing my face.
"Alright." She finally gave up. After 5 seconds, my phone rang, I accepted her incoming call.
"Mina!" She greeted me cheerfully.
"Hi, Nayeon." Once I spoke, I instantly regret accepted the call because my nasal voice is too strong.
"Do you catch a cold or something?" She asked in concern.
"Yup, I just took a pill." I lied. "Please tell me your story." I quickly changed the topic of conversation to the previous one.
"Once upon a time, a king and queen ruled over a distant land. The kind queen gave birth to an adorable baby girl soon become a gorgeous loving woman. She's the purpose of every prince coming for. However, nobody wins her heart. The news was heard by an evil king. He never takes no as an answer, so he comes to the kingdom propose with a ton of gold and shiny jewelry carried by a troop of warriors. 'All is yours included the warriors' He proclaimed confidently. However, the princess still said no to him which infuriated the king. He abducted the princess under the protection of his strong warriors. He told the world: 'If I can't have her, then no one would.' The king sent out an army to fight the evil king. The evil king loses, he still didn't reveal the whence of the princess even till his last breath. The king and queen were in sorrow for losing their daughter forever so they decided to give out the last chance by telling the world: 'If anyone successfully brings the princess back alive, she will be married to the one and be the future king.' Months-by-months, no one succeeds, they couldn't find her, they doubted if she already dead." Nayeon paused here.
"Please continue." I demanded, filled with curiosity.
"Well, she is dead." She answered blankly.
"Nayeon it's not funny." I'm judging her sense of humor on the other side.
"Dead inside." She then laughed at her own joke. I just remained quiet throughout the laughing. She finally stopped and continued her story.
"The princess is waiting for the hero to appear. She was waiting for the right one to save her out of the dark. She tried to escape but she couldn't find the way out."
"Where she was?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Tower." She lowers her voice mysteriously.
"One day, the princess heard someone call out her from the only window."
