Chapter 27

To made it less suspicious, I told Prince Yuta that we're going back to Tokyo to handle family's property.

Staring out the view, appreciated the view of Tokyo. Father and I were on our way to meet the Head of Imperial House. On the other side, Mother stayed at the institution to make sure everything was under control of Myoui instead of Nakamoto.

I was so nervous and happy because I could finally be free from his claw.

It's my turn now, Yuta Nakamoto.

All bodyguards greeted us along the way to the office of Emperor. We have prepared all the documents and evidences to prove our point. It seemed like everything went well according to plan until my father-in-law walking out of that office door. An alarm rang inside my head: why's he here and what're they talking about inside.

He was surprised to see us as well. I greeted him with a bow. We had a small talk. He then asked, "Are you coming to have a meeting with the Emperor as well?" I nodded and put on a rigid smile. "Yeah, father. We're coming to greet Emperor then introduce our new product." His smile widened but I wasn't sure was it in a good way or bad way. "That's good to know." He exclaimed then lowered his voice, "My son send you here?"

I then realized he thought we're on the same team. I nodded then gave him a knowing smile. He was satisfied by my answer, "I'm glad to have you in my family."

I was snickering inside because he'll soon regret to have me in his family.

We bid farewell to him then went in the office upon acknowledging our arrival. We all bowed to the Emperor, then sat down on tatami, facing him with a solemn manner. "Emperor, sorry for not revealing the purpose prior to meeting. Because I'm afraid of mole hiding in your palace," father cut to the chase. He raised an eyebrow in doubt. "Why would you say so? Prince Akira."

"Because it's about House of Nakamoto." Emperor sipped on a cup of tea, then indicated father to continue. "We know that House of Nakamoto has a great influence in the economy of Japan and they've been boosting the economy of country throughout the financial crisis. However, they are planning for something more, my Emperor — the symbol of State"

His palm slammed on the table and he looked angry, "Unbelievably! Please show me your proof. I know you wouldn't come unprepared to accuse them directly to me." Father then started explaining the whole situation while I was preparing. I took out a laptop from suitcase then put it on the desk between us and Emperor. I played the recordings of our conversations.

Then, in the middle, I received a text message from Prince Yuta, "Mina, my father told me you are at the Imperial House. Why are you carrying out our plan without letting me know?"
Jackpot. I quickly replied, "Don't worry, everything went well. Do you mind if I call you now?" I sent then showed the new update to them. Shortly, my phone rang. He called me. I quickly accepted the call and put it on speaker. Everybody stayed quiet.

"Mina, how's it?" He asked.
"Yeah, I planted the virus in already and I'm leaving the palace now."
"Good jobs. Have he suspected anything?"
"No. Everything was fine."
"Good girl. Soon, I'll be the king and you'll be my queen." He chuckled. I responded with a 'yeah' and pretended to chuckle along with him  "See you soon." I said. "See you." He said then hang up the phone.

I looked up with a smirk. Everyone was looking at me. Father and mother looked very proud of me. The Emperor looked dead in the eyes. "Thank you for saving my life." He softened a bit. "My Emperor, it's the duty of House of Myoui to save the country," I proclaimed with proud. He nodded then smiled, "House of Myoui never fail to amaze me. Each generations of Myoui have never fail to take care of each Emperors and have always been loyal to the Imperial House."
