I was in the car with my parent now.
We're on the way to the new laboratory.
He gonna be there welcome us.
If you're wondering who is him?
He's my fake 'fiancé'.
I rather am the one to break the news to them than he tells them out of the blue.
I breathed in, giving a moment or two until I built up my courage to call out my parent.
"Mother and Father."
I gulped, as their attention turned to me.
This was harder than I thought.
Here we go.
"Yu Ming and I break up."
They're stunned yet upset upon my words.
I was trying to look calm and steady as my mind came up with a story.
"We had a talk about our future. Just imagine being apart from him, I don't think I can stand a long-distance relationship.
We also talk about our marriage, he would like us to live in Taiwan if we get married, I don't want to be far away from you.
So we decided to end it before the relationship carries on the next level. We stay as friends."
I consoled them with a smile.
Mother spoke out her thoughts genuinely.
"I like him a lot. He's giving off good vibes, I thought he'll be the right person."
He really is the right person.
Tzuyu and I have a similar mental attitude.
The greater the degree of attitudinal similarity, the greater the attraction and liking.
Not to mention, she's like a knight appeared when I was in misery. I felt secure and protected when I was with her.
Back from my thought, I replied an antithetical answer. "Things just doesn't work out so I accepted Prince Yuta's proposal. The marriage is gonna avail the family, the business as well."
Their eyebrows frowned as they listened. Father voiced out, hold on my shoulder.
"Mina, you don't have to force yourself for the family. The family has never forced us married for profit."
I responded with something I don't really mean to, betraying my true feelings.
"It's alright.
It's not.
"The feelings can be developed over time."
I only love Tzuyu. My heart is hers.
They didn't look convinced, there are worries in their eyes. I'm really bad at lying, isn't it?
"Mina, we're your parent. We could clearly saw that you don't like him. Why suddenly change of mind? It's not like you." Mother remarked.
It broke my heart for lying to them, knowing how much they care, I really want to tell them the truth, but I don't know how'd they react.
They either being cold and distant for being a humiliation of the family or being open-minded and accept who I'm. After considering the consequences of confession, torn between spit all out and keep it up, I chickened out, that's too much of a risk.
"It's fine."
Not matter what my decision, it's not gonna change the fact I'm still going to marry him.
Dissatisfaction and disappointment were written all over their face.
I had never let them down.
The car stopped still, we reached.
The laboratory, more like an institution occupied an acre of land and was a two-story concrete building, along with a small security house fenced in and guarded the only entry.
Prince Yuta was expecting us at the lobby with bodyguards standing behind him. He greeted us then began our tour.
We walked down a corridor, the wall was combined with precast and glass, therefore we could saw the staffs working inside.
"It's the offices for marketing, advertising, and the sales department." Prince Yuta proclaimed.
