"You don't have to stay. I know it's sudden." He opened his office door. "I'll call you later and tell you what happened."

"Aww come on let her stay." Dave's eyes flashed towards the hallway. Jane turned around slowly and came face to face with a brightly smiling Luke. "It'll be like old times."

And now. . .

Luke sat uncomfortably on the leather couch watching the two Castillo's in front of him. The room was silent and to make matters worse, Dave hadn't broken eye contact with Luke from the moment he stepped into his office.

Dave looked stern as he always did when he was serious. His blue eyes were like icy daggers aimed at Luke's heart. It was clear Dave was still upset about their fallout.

The last time Luke saw him he had a highlighted Cesar. Now his hair was cut into a trendy fohawk. He looked different, younger, Luke agreed. They were both thirty but the hairstyle made Dave look much younger. Although, he hasn't seen his ex-best friend in years Dave was looking at him with such anger he decided Jane was more appealing.

And appealing she definitely was. When he looked towards her he grinned because Jane was avoiding eye contact with him at all cost. She wore a fitted light pink blazer with a crisp white skirt. Her shoes were nude and Luke almost didn't recognize it against her white skin. Her skirt was short and even as she sat he could see the scar up her thigh. Even more, now that her legs were crossed.

He dragged his eyes from her thighs up to her chest.

Whew! She's filled in nicely. He thought to himself.

He looked back at Dave who fists were clenched. His face was angrier than before and Luke was sure Dave knew he was undressing his sister with his eyes.

He scratched his temple. "Well, this is awkward." His attempt to break the silence.

"Why are you here?" Dave asked.

"To extend my condolences of course. I heard of your uncles passing."

Jane's eyes finally found Luke's. "How nice of-"

"I'll only ask one more time. Why are you here?" Dave said not believing Luke gave a crap about his deceased uncle.

Luke laughed. "Well, you haven't changed much. Always to the point."

Dave gave an exasperated look.

"I came here to speak business."

"We have no business together."

Luke looked at Dave and then at Jane. These people used to be his family and now they were nothing more than people he used to know. He needed to quit joking around and be serious. Dave was completely serious and he needed to be as well. "We do now."

"I'd be a fool to ever go into business with a Beauton."

"Your uncle didn't think it so foolish."

Dave's body loosened. He now knew why Luke was here.

"Excuse me?" Jane finally spoke up. "What about uncle?"

Luke pulled a folded contract from his jacket pocket and handed it to Dave.

Dave snatched the papers from his hand and opened it. Jane looked over Dave's shoulder.

"You filthy bastard . . . it was you?" Dave asked angrily flipping through the papers. "You took his shares?" Dave asked looking back up at Luke.
