It's a bittersweet feeling,
A bittersweet affair.
In my wildest fantasies and dreams, 
I never thought this could happen.
It all took me by surprise, one moment we were just acquaintances standing on professional grounds, and the next, we happened.

Just like that, my wishes came true.
My wish to have you, to get this feeling, to find someone that I could connect with.
The sense of belonging I feel every single moment I spend with you, the connection, peace, the happiness.
I said it's bittersweet and that's the sweet part.

They say that in all perfections there's always an imperfection.
My bittersweet world has one, and just the thought of it makes me want to curl into a ball and cry.
It saddens me that this might just be a fairytale or a dream and I'll eventually wake up to nothing.
That I'll wake up one day and it will be back to my lone dark world.
That all this will be nothing but a past that once existed.
That as I am writing to you now, all smiley and blushing, I will one time look back at all these words with tears in my eyes.

That's not going to stop me though, it's not going to stop me from making every single day count.
It's not going to stop me from taking one step at a time.
One day at a time with you.

No one knows how this is all going to end but let's be here now
Bittersweet for now
Let's savor the sweetness of it and not worry about the future.
Let's fall in love and make the most of it.
If the inevitable happens, we will face it together.
