"ok! Sala- wait... WHAT?!" napasigaw si Maquim a narinig. "E.M?"

"E.M po. Sila po yung ka lunch meeting nyo ngayon. Yung makulit po na Niño Mendez" paliwanag ng secretarya nya

"No! No! No!.." natatarantang sabi ni Maqui. "Mag, just ring them back, tell them that i'll  be meeting them here instead." at agad nyang sinabi sa secretarya kung saan restaurant sya. Bigla kasi syang natakot na baka makita ng mga taga-EM si Julie at makilala. Natatakot rin sya na baka isa si Elmo sa makakita sa dalaga

" you okay?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Nate sa kanya pagbaba nito ng telepono.

"gad!!! No!!!" hystical na sabi nito na tila di alam ang gagawin "it's just that I have a meeting with E.M and I don't even know it!"

"and what is wrong with that?"

"Nate it's E.M; the company where Julie worked." pa-alala nito. "and i have a feeling na si Elmo Magalona ang makaka-meeting ko"

"the Guy?"

Tumango lang si Maqui bilang sagot.

"if you not ready to meet that guy, just cancel the meeting Maq."

"i can't do that, i already cancelled our meeting last time and beside, they're on thier way here. It will make me unprofessional if i'll do that."

"then be professional and face him Maq, make this meeting a pure work, no personal issues attach. If you want i can stay here with you, i'll cancel my lunch meeting with the chairman. I'm sure he'll understand."

Sandaling napa-isip si Maqui bago sumagot.

"thank you Nate, but you don't have to. I'll handle this alone and beside tito really needs you... "

"you sure about this?" pro tumango lang ang dalaga

"okay then" patayong sabi ni Nate saka lumapit kay Maqui at hinalikan sa noo ang dalaga.

"you know that i'm just a call away if you need me Maq. I'll go ahead."paalam ng binata.

Pagka-alis ni Nate ay agad niya'ng tinawagan ang secretarya.

"ma'am may kailangan po kayo?"

"Maggie, i want you to be here in 10mins."

"po?" gulat na tanong ni Maggie. "pero ang layo po nyang ma'am 30mins away pa po yan."

"i don't care Mag. Just do what i told you to." at agad pinutol ni Maqui ang linya.

Higit kalahating oras ng naghihintay si Maqui, mag-isa lang itong naka-upo at malalim ang ini-isip.

"look who's here" napa-angat sya dahil sa may nagsalita sa harap nya.

"Excuse me. Do i know you?" kunot-noong tanong nya.

"ouch!" sabi ni Niño sabay hawak ng kaliwang dibdib. "well... You just bumped my car a month ago and we did a lot of texting and flirting, so... I wasn't that convince that you don't knew me." malokong sabi ni Niño sabay upo sa harap ni Maqui.

"ooh! So you're the E.M guy?"

"Niño Mendez. Pleasure to see you again." he offered his hand.

Madali namang nakipag-kamay si Maqui sa kanya and gave him a fake smile.

"so.. Where's your boss?" tanong ni Niño habang nililibot ang paningin nya na para bang may hinahanap.

"huh?" pagtaka ng dalaga.
