Wild at Heart

Part One - Chapter Fourteen: Being Discovered

Mia moaned softly as Iker panted into her neck, his hands held her in place against the wall and her legs were wrapped around his waist; she rested her head against the wall as she closed her eyes and tried to calm her breathing.

“Iker,” Mia whispered softly resting her head against Iker’s, she knew that they shouldn’t have done that in the corridor since anyone could have caught them, she couldn’t help but be surprised that her boyfriend had done that.

Iker chuckled trailing his hands up her bare thighs, they had been together for a week now and he wasn’t sure what had come over him; he had been happier in that short time with Mia than he had been in the year that he had been with Sara.

“Lo siento, I couldn’t help myself,” Iker said carefully setting Mia back down on her two feet; he didn’t release her since there was a chance that she would fall, he chuckled as she glared at him knowing that she was a little annoyed at him.

Mia quickly moved to smooth out her red heart print cowl dress, she had been doing an errand for one of the PR team when he had pulled her aside and proceeded to do the deed with her up against one of the walls.

“Iker seriously,” Mia hissed making sure that she looked alright, she watched as he fixed his training shorts which had been pulled down slightly; he rolled his eyes as he rested a hands on her hips as he kissed her softly.

Mia pushed him away before she glanced around, she really didn’t have time for this plus she had to find her underwear since Iker had removed them; the footballer rolled his eyes knowing what she was looking for, he had put them somewhere safe.

“Okay Iker where have you put my underwear?” Mia asked glaring at her boyfriend, she knew that he had removed them and now she needed to know that she wasn’t going to find them in the hands of someone else.

“What makes you think that I have them?” Iker asked discretely slipping her red panties into his training kit pocket, he smiled as he watched Mia roll her eyes amused that she hadn’t thought of this herself.

Mia sighed as she stepped closer to her boyfriend and kissed them, she didn’t care that he had them only that she wasn’t leaving them on the floor for someone else to find.

“I’m going out with the guys tonight… they’re getting suspicious that their captain isn’t spending time with them,” Iker said knowing that he needed to keep up appearances if he didn’t want anyone to know about them.

“So how long have you been screwing your assistant?” Sergio asked casually sipping on his drink, he smirked as he saw Iker stop what he was doing and look at him; the goalkeeper blinked at his friend who grinned at him, while everyone else seemed to be watching the pair.

“Come on Iker we know… Álvaro saw the two of you this morning,” Pepe Reina said making the captain groan as he realised that he had been caught out and that this wasn’t going to end well if no one could keep a secret; he glanced around knowing that he didn’t need this getting out right now.

Iker sat down and ran a hand through his hair, he knew that there was no way that he could deny what was going on; his best bet was to tell them the truth.

“We’ve been together for a week now,” Iker said looking at his team-mates and friends, he doubted that they would all be pleased that he had found himself a new girlfriend after just breaking up with Sara only a couple of weeks ago.

The captain looked at each of his team-mates as he thought about what they would all think about this; he worried what Vicente would do if this was leaked to the press, it was his one rule about firing Mia.

The press couldn’t discover that Iker had gotten himself a new girlfriend during the tournament, it would distract away from what the national team was doing and that couldn’t be allowed.

“You can’t tell anyone… Vicente will fire Mia if this gets out,” Iker said knowing that his friends wouldn’t be able to keep quiet about this; he wanted to protect his girlfriend as best he could especially since she would get a lot of trouble if their relationship were to come out now.

Xavi sighed looking at his best friend, he knew that this could make things easier for him as well as hard; it would only take one person to slip up and then it would be out in the open.

“So you aren’t just shagging her… you’re dating her,” Gerard said with an open mouth, he couldn’t believe that Iker had started to date his own assistant; they had all thought that he was just using her for a distraction and to satisfy himself now that he was finished with Sara but they had never thought that he was dating her.

Iker nodded his head looking at his friend knowing that they were all probably worried about him; he could already see the doubt in some of his club team-mates eyes about what he was doing with Mia.

“I really care about her… I wouldn’t have ended things with Sara if I wasn’t sure about them,” Iker said hoping that they could all understand that his ex-girlfriend hadn’t made him happy; that she had tried to change him into someone that he wasn’t.

“What do you mean they know?” Mia whispered stepping into Iker’s bedroom, she looked at him confused as he closed his bedroom door so that he could talk to her; Mia couldn’t help but be worried as he smiled at her.

Iker carefully pulled her close as she thought about what he had told her when she had entered the hotel suite; she nudged her head against his as he rested it atop of hers.

“Álvaro saw us this afternoon… they already knew something was going on but that confirmed it for them,” Iker said gently smiling softly, he was glad that they hadn’t done anything stupid especially since it would only cause them more trouble; Mia closed her eyes as she listened to her boyfriend breathing.

The couple were silent for a moment as they realised that with some exceptions they could act like a couple more; Iker smiled to himself as he pulled back slightly and looked at Mia, he knew that this was going to be okay.

“They won’t tell anyone,” Iker said carefully moving to cup Mia’s face, he couldn’t believe that everyone seemed to be going so well for them right now.

Mia yawned softly making Iker smile as he kissed her head, the four and a half year gap between them didn’t bother him and he doubted that it ever would.

“So we don’t really need to hide anymore,” Mia guessed making Iker nod, she knew that there were going to be times that they had to act professional but she felt a sudden weight lifted off her shoulders knowing that they were sort of safe right now.

Iker kissed her softly as he held her close, everything seemed to be going so well for them that he couldn’t have been happier; he slowly moved his hands down his body as he thought about how much he cared for Mia and how he wasn’t going to allow anything to happen to them.
