Iker stared up at the ceiling as he tried to get some sleep, it was the night before the final and he knew that he had to be on his best game for the match; he wanted to lead his victory.
Iker groaned as he rolled over and looked at the clock next to his bed, his brown eyes stared tiredly at the numbers that seemed to be mocking him; he just wanted to get a few hours of sleep.
Iker tried closing his eyes again in an attempt to fall asleep, the nerves were going to keep him awake and he needed to be alert during the final; he really hoped that he would be able to fall asleep soon.
Moving again to try and get comfortable, Iker frowned wondering what if Mia was asleep yet; he smiled at the thought of his girlfriend knowing that this time tomorrow they would be on a flight to Madrid.
Reaching over Iker picked up his phone and quickly sent a text to his girlfriend, he chewed on his lip wondering if she would text him back; he doubted anyone would be getting much sleep tonight.
Resting his head on one of his arms, Iker yawned knowing that he would give anything to fall asleep now; he didn’t want Victor or Pepe taking his place for the final.
The sound of his mobile receiving a text message made Iker smile as he quickly opened it, he carefully sat up knowing that he wasn’t going to get much sleep alone.
Iker climbed out of bed and carefully slipped on a set of trainers that were nearby, he pocketed his mobile in his sweatpants knowing that the alarm would wake him up on it if he overslept.
Iker quietly snuck out of his hotel room, he glanced over at Xavi’s bedroom and chuckled knowing that his friend wouldn’t be asleep either; he shook his head before he left his hotel suite and headed for Mia’s.
The silence of the dark corridor made Iker swallow as he walked towards her room, he already knew that Andres was staying with Anna; most of the team were probably with their own spouses tonight.

Mia fought back a yawn as she padded over to the door to her hotel suit, she was glad that no one would be out in the corridor since she was only wearing a cobalt night shirt which barely covered her.
Mia cautiously opened the door and smiled as her eyes meet with her boyfriend’s brown ones; she was a little surprised to see him especially with the match tomorrow.
“You okay?” Mia asked allowing Iker into the suite, her blue eyes looked at him concerned; she would have thought that he would have been sound asleep by now and it was extremely early in the morning.
Iker nodded his head as the couple headed for her bedroom, he knew that he was going to be exhausted in the morning; Mia looked at him concerned as she closed her bedroom door wondering what had him awake.
“I couldn’t sleep,” Iker admitted slipping off his shoes, he wanted to get comfortable and he hoped that this would help him sleep; he looked at Mia and smiled knowing that she would be able to help him.
Mia rubbed her eyes wondering what he had come to her for, they weren’t able to have sex since it was the night before a match and Mia wasn’t sure what else her boyfriend would want her to do.
Iker smiled as he moved back onto the bed, he knew that he would have to fall asleep soon if he didn’t want to be falling asleep during the match; Mia approached her boyfriend and wrapped his arms around him as he rested his hands on her hips.
“Iker?” Mia asked quietly as her boyfriend pulled her onto the bed next to him, she smiled tiredly as Iker cuddled her close; today was going to be a long day for everyone but she was sure that he could do this.
Iker closed his arms as they settled down on the bed, Mia trailed her fingers over his arm as she allowed him to hold her close; her blue eyes looking curious as she watched him.
“Are you nervous about tomorrow?” Mia asked knowing that they would have to sleep soon, it wouldn’t do either of them any good if they were falling asleep during the match; Iker was going to need all the rest that he could get before the match.
Iker shook his head as he carefully took her arm that was wrapped in bandage, he hadn’t forgiven him for what he had done; he knew that once this tournament was over that they would be having some serious words.
“A little,” Iker admitted knowing that she was still having a couple of problems with her arm, his brown eyes trailed along the bandage that lay there.
Mia carefully pulled her arm back knowing what he was thinking about, her arm was still a little sore from her spraining it; she kissed Iker knowing that she would do anything to take his mind off what was to come the following day.
“Go to sleep, you need to be rested for tomorrow,” Mia whispered pulling back, she smiled at Iker softly before she lay down beside him; she curled against his side hoping that the next day went well for him.

Rosie sighed as she looked up at the night sky, she knew that no matter what happened tomorrow that her sister would be flying off to Spain with her boyfriend for a number of weeks; it made her worry what would happen after.
“Rosie,” Danny said stepping out of the house and walked over to his eldest daughter, he knew that she worried for her sister; but for the first time in a long time, Mia was happy and he didn’t want anything upsetting her.
Rosie looked back at her father knowing what he was going to say, she had never found out why Mia had broken up so suddenly with Austin but she was sure that he had done something to hurt her sister.
“I know you are worried about Mia… but can’t you be happy for her,” Danny said carefully, he knew that Rosie was convinced that Iker was going to do something to her sister; however the footballer did seem to genuinely care about Mia.
Danny couldn’t ask for anything more and he knew that Iker was looking after her, he had been shocked when the footballer had bought his daughter an apartment but he was even more surprised when Iker had donated some money towards the game reserve.
“I am happy for her, it’s him that I worry about,” Rosie said looking at her father, she knew that everything would work out but she felt like Iker was stealing her sister away.
The brunette had seen men like Iker before and she didn’t trust him for a moment, she was grateful for the donation that he had made towards Leopard’s Den; but that didn’t mean that she was going to warm to him anytime soon.
“I know but for Mia’s sake… be nice,” Danny said knowing that if Rosie put up more of a fuss about her sister’s choice in boyfriend then Mia might just turn on her sister; that was the last thing that he needed right now was his two eldest daughter’s fighting with one another.
Rosie nodded her head knowing that her father was right, she was going to be nice for Mia’s sake and nothing more.
