“Business or pleasure?” the passport control officer asked staring at the passport then at the woman before him, he made sure that they were the same person before he handed her the passport back.

Rosie Jones took a deep breath taking her passport and stuck it into her shoulder bag, she forced a smile to her lips thinking for a moment about the question.

“Neither,” Rosie replied before she entered Spain, she hadn’t told anyone that she was coming to Madrid and she was sure her sister wouldn’t turn her away; Rosie had a bone to pick with the footballer that thought he could marry her.

Rosie had been furious when Danny had broken the news to her that Iker had asked Mia to marry him; the rest of the family where thrilled but she was far from it.

Rosie walked towards the luggage carousel and waited for her suitcase, she knew that Danny would be angry with her but she needed to do this.

Rosie hadn’t even told her husband that she was coming to Madrid, she wanted to speak with her sister; she didn’t want her marrying Iker and hoped to convince her to return to South Africa with her.

Rosie checked her phone, she had gotten Iker’s address from the office and she wasn’t going to leave until she had Mia coming home with her.

Rosie didn’t know what her sister was thinking by agreeing to marry Iker, he wasn’t right for her and Abigail was clearly just an addition to his publicity.

Rosie had been following her sister’s new life closely, she might not have spoken to Mia in the three months since she had chosen Iker but she just wanted to make sure that Mia and Abigail were safe.

Rosie would never trust Iker and she was determined to make Mia see that she would be better off without him; Abigail didn’t need to be raised in Madrid when she could grow up in South Africa.

Mia smiled playing with Abigail in the back garden, she was enjoying the warm summer weather and it was pretty quiet since Iker was slowly preparing to return to training.

Abigail was three months old and Mia was still in awe that she had a beautiful little girl, she adored her and she knew how much Abigail meant to Iker; the two were slowly planning their wedding and agreed they wanted a Christmas wedding.

Mia lay back on the grass as she peeked at Isco, who only lay only feet from them; he was chewing on a chew stick and seemed pretty content.

Mia shook her head turning her attention back to Abigail, the last few weeks had been amazing and Abigail was everything that Mia had ever wanted.

“Your padre should be home soon,” Mia mused sitting up and picked Abigail up, she settled her on her lap and cuddled her close; everything seemed so perfect and she didn’t know what could take this away from her.

The sound of the doorbell ringing made Mia furrow her brow, she peeked down at Abigail as Isco bound inside barking at the door; Mia sighed getting carefully to her feet and headed inside.

Mia balanced Abigail on her hip, she didn’t know who could be outside and it made her curious; she didn’t know they were expecting visitors and Iker had taken his keys that morning.

Carefully opening the front door, Mia blinked surprised coming face to face with Rosie; she didn’t know what to think of seeing her older sister, they hadn’t parted on the best terms.

“Hola,” Rosie said smiling, she was pleased to see no sign of Iker and took her chance to hug her sister and niece.

“Rosie… what are you doing here?” Mia asked nervously stepping back from her sister and allowed her into the house, she had a feeling that this had something to do with her engagement and it made her nervous.

Rosie smiled moving her suitcase inside, her brown eyes looking around taking in the house her sister now lived in; she wasn’t going to get comfortable since they wouldn’t be staying.

“I wanted to see you,” Rosie said turning her attention to Mia and Abigail, she smiled at the little girl who started to get fussy; she was sure they would be better off in Broederstroom with the rest of the family.

Mia closed the front door and tried to settle Abigail, she didn’t trust her sister and she wasn’t going to unless she proved that she could accept that she was with Iker; Mia knew her sister too well.

“How’s my niece?” Rosie asked looking at Abigail, she was in awe at how much she had grown and she hated that she didn’t see more of her; she blamed Iker for the estrangement between her and Mia.

Iker smiled happily stepping into his home, he greeted Isco as the dog rushed to greet him and he headed to the utility room to drop off his bag.

Iker had enjoyed getting back to training but there was nothing better than coming home to his fiancée and daughter; he looked around wondering where Mia was.

Heading for the living room, Iker came to a stop at the sight of Rosie sat on his couch; he didn’t know what she was doing but he didn’t like it.

“Hola Iker,” Rosie said smugly sipping on her drink, she stared at the man knowing he had no idea that she would be there; he was going to wish that he had never taken her on.

Mia offered Iker a weak smile, she could see that he wasn’t happy and she didn’t blame him; she hadn’t had time to text him in warning and Rosie had kept distracting her.

“Rosie…” Iker greeted politely he didn’t want to start a fight and he knew that Rosie was trying to annoy him; the look on her face made it clear that she wasn’t here to make amends with her sister.

Mia carefully got to her feet and walked over to Iker, she kissed him softly hoping that Rosie would see just how happy she was; she didn’t want anything coming between her and Iker.

Rosie pursed her lips watching the couple, she had spent the last hour talking about how everything was back at home; she was determined that Mia would see sense.

“I’m sorry about this,” Mia murmured with a small smile, she wished that Rosie would have given them some warning about her trip especially since Iker and her didn’t get along.

Iker shook his head smiling at Mia, he didn’t blame her for this and he hoped that Rosie wouldn’t be staying long especially if she was here to cause trouble.

Iker looked over at Rosie, he hoped that her visit would make her see just how happy Mia was; he didn’t want the two sisters fighting, he wanted Rosie to see that Mia was happy and how much he loved her.

“So what are we doing for dinner?” Rosie asked slowly starting to put her plan into action, she was sure that Mia would be cooking and she would slowly start planting the seed of doubt in her mind about Iker.

Mia opened her mouth to say something, she wasn’t sure what her sister was really up to but she was that she would stop when she realised that there was nothing that she could do to break them up.

“How about I make us chicken and chorizo rice pot?” Iker said smiling, he wrapped an arm around Mia as he peeked at Rosie; he loved cooking and it was something that he loved doing and it gave Mia a break.

Rosie blinked staring at Iker, she hadn’t expected him to offer to cook for them.
