Iker blinked the sleep from his eyes as he heard Abigail over the baby monitor, he sat up right as his little girl coughed making his heart leap into his throat.
Iker didn’t waste a moment before he climbed out of bed and hurried out of the master bedroom; he didn’t even notice that Mia wasn’t in bed.
Iker moved quickly to the nursery, peeking at Isco who was sound asleep, he didn’t stop until he was in Abigail’s room; he frowned as he spotted Mia holding their little girl in her arms.
Mia glanced back at Iker, she hadn’t expected him to wake up and she could see the concern written all over his face; she had hoped that he would sleep through the night.
“Is she okay?” Iker asked walking over to his fiancée, he worried that it was something serious and they would have to take their two month old to the hospital.
Mia nodded her head, she was wearing her neon green fleece hooded robe over her navy heart print viscose chemise; she didn’t want Iker getting overprotected especially when it was nothing more than a cold.
Mia had heard about a bug going round and she wasn’t surprised that Abigail had picked it up after she’d been for her doctor’s appointment that week for a check-up.
“She’s fine… it’s just a little cold,” Mia said shifting the little girl in her arms, she was going to give her a little feed before trying to settle her down again.
Iker nodded his head moving to take Abigail from her mother, he couldn’t believe that his little girl was poorly; he almost wished he had insisted that the man that had been coughing at the doctor’s move away from them.
“What do we do?” Iker asked trying to sooth Abigail, he pressed a kiss to the top of her head; he wanted to help in any way that he could.

“Maybe we should take her to the doctors,” Iker said bouncing a crying Abigail in his arms, his hair was sticking up in all directions and he was exhausted; she was warm and he didn’t know what to do.
Mia smiled softly as she moved to take Abigail from Iker, he needed to sleep and she could handle Abigail for a couple of hours without him; she kissed him hoping that he would go and rest.
“Go and sleep… I have her,” Mia said softly, she held Abigail close while Iker shook his head; he couldn’t sleep while his little girl was ill and he wanted to help.
Mia smoothed out her daughter’s hair, she could see how tired he was and Iker needed rest or he would get sick as well; the new season would pick up in a few weeks and he didn’t need to be ill.
“Iker… I’ve got everything under control,” Mia reassured him, she gave her a gentle push towards the stairs; she would call him if the cold got worse but she was fine.
Mia had spoken with their doctor and gotten some advice, she was sure that the cold would go away in a couple of days and it just wouldn’t do.
Iker frowned staring at his fiancée, he didn’t want to but he knew that if he didn’t go then he would suffer as well; he sighed and nodded before pressing a kiss to Mia’s lips.
“If you need me at any time…” Iker said brushing his fingers through Abigail’s hair, he didn’t want to sleep if Mia was going to struggle; Abigail was both of their daughter and he wanted to help out whenever he could.
Mia nodded her head, she watched him head up to bed; the brunette didn’t want him to worry when Abigail was going to be perfectly fine.
Mia pressed a kiss to the top of Abigail’s head, everything was going to be just fine while Iker slept.

Mia yawned curling up on the couch, Abigail snoozed lightly in her rocker and the house was so quiet; it had taken a little while but she had finally gotten her daughter off to sleep for a little while.
Mia closed her eyes, she didn’t think a nap would hurt especially since she would wake straight up if Abigail started to cry; she was exhausted and glad that Iker had gone for a lie down.
Iker had been doing everything in his power to make Abigail better, he had exhausted himself and wouldn’t have been much use in his panicked state.
Mia’s blue eyes snapped open as she felt a blanket being placed carefully on her, she had been just falling asleep and was confused about what was happening.
“Go back to sleep,” Iker murmured brushing some hair from Mia’s head and pressing a kiss to the top of her head, he smiled as she didn’t argue with him and slowly fell back asleep.
Iker watched her for a moment, he felt a little refreshed after sleeping and couldn’t help coming down to take over from Mia; he knew she needed rest as much as he did.
Iker carefully moved to check on Abigail, she was finally sleeping and he was pleased; he gently touched her head and was happy to see her temperature was going down, he was sure the cold would be gone soon.
Iker moved to stick the kettle on, he stretched wondering how everything had gone back in South Africa; it had been a week since Danny and Alice had gone back after the dinner and Iker knew that Rosie was going to be far from welcome to the news Mia was now engaged to him.
Iker didn’t know why his fiancée’s older sister refused to warm to him, it was a problem that he needed to deal with soon; he didn’t want it overlooking his wedding to Mia.

Iker popped a couple of slices of bread into the toaster, he smiled to himself peeking over to Abigail who was still sleeping soundly; he was pleased that she was getting better, he was a lot more relaxed now.
“Toast?” Iker asked looking at Mia, who was stretching on the couch; he smiled watching her as she nodded her head, she looked a little tired but a lot better than before.
Mia carefully pushed the blanket away from her and stood up, her feet touching the cold wooden floor making her shiver; she shivered a little before she moved to check on Abigail.
“She’s been an angel,” Iker said moving to get some butter from the fridge, they needed to go shopping that week and he was sure that another small holiday would be in order before the season started.
Mia smiled relieved, she had worried that Iker wasn’t going to relax and would overreact; he loved Abigail so much that he would have insisted that she go to the doctors.
“What do you fancy for dinner?” Iker asked quietly, he watched Mia walk over to him and wrap her arms around him; it had been a long day and Iker was more than happy to order out.
Mia shrugged softly, she was just glad that Abigail was getting over her cold; it had been draining for the couple to look after their daughter while she was sick.
“How about I order us some Chinese?” Iker offered kissing the top of Mia’s head, he smiled a little wrapping his own arms around her; he could just hear her stomach grumble at the idea of food.
Mia nodded pulling back, she really just wanted to cuddle with her fiancé for a couple of hours; Abigail was going to be sleeping and she would only need a couple more feeds before the night was over.
“I’ll order… you get Abigail ready for bed,” Iker said with a smile, Mia nodded her head and walked away; they were going to be okay and he hoped that everything would work out for them.
