“Okay what is going on?” Cassidy demanded glaring at Mia, she was sick of being kept in the dark anymore; the blonde knew that something was going on especially since David and Freddie were acting just as strange as her cousin was.

Mia blinked as she turned her attention away from the match to look Cassidy, she had been tense the last few days especially with Sara’s threat but now she was just worried what would happen if Spain were knocked out of the world cup.

“You are all so tense… it’s just a bloody game and I know something is going on,” Cassidy said looking between the other three, she was already walked on very thin ice with Vicente and had been warned that if her attitude to work didn’t change and if she didn’t stop flirting with the footballer’s then she would be fired.

David and Freddie swallowed knowing that even though Mia’s relationship was going to be revealed after the match there was no way that the brunette could tell her cousin that she was dating Iker; anyone could see that it would be a bad idea.

“We’re just worried about the score… if they lose then we are all out of a job,” David said with ease knowing that was another reason why everyone was on edge; there would be no more chances if Spain messed up now and they needed a win to proceed to the Quarter-Finals where they would face Paraguay, who had beaten Japan just hours before.

Cassidy pursed her lips as Mia nodded her head in agreement, she didn’t believe that was why the brunette was tense and she had noticed that for the last two weeks that her cousin had been acting strangely.

Iker sighed as he wiped the sweat from his forehead and smiled sadly at his Real Madrid team-mate, Cristiano Ronaldo; he hated to do this to him but he knew that it was either Portugal or Spain.

Iker hugged his friend knowing that this was hard on him, neither of them had been thrilled with the idea of playing against one another and now Portugal would be heading home on the next flight out of the country and back to Europe.

“Lo siento,” Iker said patting Cristiano on the back and pulled back from him, he swallowed knowing that this could have easily been him since they had only won one-nil against their neighbours.

The Portuguese captain shook his head as he smiled weakly at Iker, he knew that they would be alright and that everything would work out; it had been a tough game and it could have easy gone the other way but it hadn’t and now had to deal with it.

“It’s fine Iker… congrats,” Cristiano said nodding his head before he walked away, he wasn’t happy about the result but there was nothing that he could do about it now.

Iker watched his friend leave and sighed as he shifted his attention to Mia, he knew what needed to be done to ensure that he didn’t lose her because of Sara.

Iker swallowed as she climbed down from the bench where she had been sat with the other volunteers, he knew it was now or never and he wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass by.

Iker walked towards his girlfriend and pulled her sharply into a kiss, he smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck when she realised that it was him; he was aware that every camera in the stadium and the crowds would be able to see this kiss.

“You are crazy,” Mia murmured as Iker pulled back knowing that now her relationship with him would be all over the news; she swallowed as she pulled him back into a kiss knowing that it was too late to go back now.

Mia felt Iker grin as he cupped her face as a couple of his team-mates wolf-whistled at the couple as they continued to kiss; the Spaniard chuckled as he pulled back, he didn’t care what people thought he was in a happy relationship and that was all that mattered to him.

“I won’t be long,” Iker pressing one final kiss to her lips before he sauntered away into the tunnel making Mia blush as she realised that everyone was now looking at her; she brushed some hair from her face as she hurried into the tunnel herself.

Mia glanced at Vicente a little surprised that he had been okay with Iker kissing her like that, she wondered if it had something to do with the conversation that her boyfriend had, had with him that he wouldn’t tell her about.

“How could you?” Cassidy hissed furiously as she approached Mia, she couldn’t believe that after everything that she had done that none of the footballers were interested in her but the captain of the team was in a relationship with her cousin that everyone seemed to know about.

Mia swallowed as she eyed Cassidy knowing that the blonde was going to be a pain to deal with now, she hadn’t want her to know about her dating Iker but there was no way around it now.

“You knew how much I wanted to be a WAG and you have taken that from me,” Cassidy spat as she crossed her arms and glared at Mia, she couldn’t believe that anyone would want someone as plain as her cousin when they had the option of her.

Mia rolled her eyes as she stared at Cassidy and walked past her, she wasn’t interested in talking to her if she was going to be unreasonable; the brunette had a feeling that the blonde was going to get fired if she continued.

“Is that why you took this job? To ensnare a footballer?” Mia asked turning to look at her cousin, she knew what Cassidy was like with men and she felt sorry for anyone who took a liking to her; the blonde was a man-eater and was used to using and dumping the men she dated.

Cassidy snorted as she pursed her lips, she didn’t know who Mia thought she was but she wasn’t going to deny that it was the real reason that she had taken the volunteer job; her only mistake was bring Mia with her.

“A word Miss Trevanion,” Vicente said approaching the two women, his eyes locked on Cassidy as he frowned knowing that he had finally had enough of her behaviour; she was only going to cause trouble from here on out and he couldn’t have that for the remainder of the tournament.

Cassidy huffed as she nodded her head and followed after Vicente, who flashed a reassuring smile at Mia knowing that she didn’t have anything to worry about as far as he was concerned.

Mia sighed as she nibbled on her lip as she carefully pulled out her phone, she knew that her sister would be calling at any moment to ask her about what she had seen and she wasn’t going to deny it.

Mia smiled as her mobile started to ring as if Rosie knew that she was prepared for her call; her older sister had made it clear that she was happy for her and now that it was out in the open there would be questions.

“Hello Rosie,” Mia said as she answered the call and pressed the phone to her ear and grinned as her sister started to fire question after question to her about the kiss that she had seen live on television.

Mia didn’t notice the glare that Sara was giving her as she stood down the tunnel waiting to interview Iker; her plan in ruins at her feet and she couldn’t believe that she hadn’t seen this coming.
