Marriage Before Love

Maliky' POV

"Man I heard Amanda and her possie planning to beat up Zanya" Kilian, my best friend informed me

"What?!"I asked and when he repeated it, I just bolted

Unfortunately, I was too late. When I found where they were a crowd was formed around them. I pushed through the crowd to find Zanya being held up by Shanna and Tish while Amanda was punching her.

"Zanya!" I called out her name but she had already passed out

Amanda turned and looked at me as she heard my voice. Her minions releasing Zanya and running in the opposite direction. I ran up to Zanya, pushing Amanda out of my way when she came to block the way.

I lifted her limp body in my arms and she groaned in pain. As I lifted her, I noticed something soaking through her clothes. It took a while for me to realise that it was blood. I immediately rushed her to the campus' hospital and they took her to the ER.

Time seemed to start moving slower. Doctors running in and out of the ICU. Every time I tried to stop one to ask how she was doing  they would just run pass me. I sat down waiting for someone to talk to

"Maliky Foster" a doctor came calling my name

"That's me" I stood up, raising my hand so he could see me

He walked up to me. "What is your relation to the patient?" he asked

"I am the father of her unborn children" I replied

"The reason I ask is because we are not allowed to disclose information about the patient to non family members." he informed before asking "So you're not married?"

"No" I replied to the question and he nodded

"I advise you to call in her family. All I can say to you is that the babies are in critical condition. We're doing what we can to save them"
