Lola's POV

"No mom, I'm not" her voice rung throughout the car.

"Who are you and what have you done with my daughter?" I asked and when I saw the tears in her eyes, I immediately regretted saying that.

"Are you mad?" she asked like she used to when she was a kid and she would do something wrong.

"Honestly, I'm not. It's good to see my daughter's not alien." I said smiling

"What?"

"Different honey, different. But I'm afraid I can't say the same for your dad."

"You said you won't tell him" she said worried that I might go back on my words.

"I won't. But what happens when it starts to show?" I asked and she hung her head in shame.

"I'll figure something out" she said

"And let's say it works, what happens when the baby comes?" I asked and her head snapped in my direction.

"By then, I'll have a job and an apartment" she replied and just as she did, the boy came to mind

"What about Maliky?" I asked another question and again, she dropped her head

"What about him mom?" she asked in a barely audible voice

"You haven't told him" I stated and she shook her head.

"He wouldn't care anyway"

"He still deserves to know that he's about to be a father. If he decides that he doesn't want anything to do with the baby or you, it's his loss"

"I hate that you're always right." she said and I chuckled

Just as we were finished talking, I got out of the car telling her she could take the car and go home. I knew that if I asked Lisa to drop me home, she would. Zanya needed to rest, she was carrying my second grandchild and I know she's a bit stressed out right now. A little sleep will do great.
