(Beatrice's POV)
Only Chris and I were left and we continued to walk home, still holding hands. We didn't talk much so there was a slight awkwardness in the atmosphere. We were almost at my house and then Chris stopped for a moment.
"Chris? What's wrong?" I asked. "Wanna go get something to eat?" He asked. "Oh sure!" I said then we took a detour to a nearby restaurant which happened to be Mcdonalds.
We went inside, took our orders and sat down. I ordered a Mcspaghetti with sprite while Chris just ordered a cheese burger and some fries.
"That's all your gonna eat?" I asked. "Yeah, well I don't really eat much." He said. "Well it doesn't look like it." I said. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Welllll..... nevermind, forget it." I said. "Awww come onnnn tell me!!" He pleaded. "Nope." I said as I crossed my arms. "Awww fineee. Let's just enjoy our meal then get you home, your mom must be looking for you." He said. "Yeaahh okayy." I said.
We ate our meals then we continued to walk home.
"Where do you live Chris?" I asked. "Huh? Nearby I guess. Why?" He asked. "Oh nothing." I said. "Okay then." He said.
We reached my house then I was about to open the door but before I even got hold of the doorknob, Chris pulled me by my hand and he pulled me closer to him. I was shocked. I can feel my cheeks turn red and he moved his face closer to my ear.
"Sleep well okay? I'll call you when I get home. I love you." He whispered while I just nodded. "Good." He said then he patted my head and smiled.
I opened the door and I saw my mom sitting on the couch and watching TV. I looked back one more time to Chris who was waiting for me to go inside. I waved at him then he waved back then I went inside.
"Hi mom, I'm home." I said. "Hey sweetie, how was your day?" She asked. "It was great!! And I gotta tell you something." I said
