Chapter 12

(Chris' POV)
"Okay haha goodnight and sweet dreams" Beatrice replied.

After that, I chatted Jake and told him what happened...

"No way, really?!!" He replied.
"Yeah, her mom is really cool with it." I sent.
"Hmm maybe IT IS meant to be." He replied.
"Yeah maybe I guess so too." I sent.

We talked about stuff until 11pm.

"HAHAHAHAH Oh yeah I really missed that, oh hey btw, I gotta sleep now okay? Talk to you tom! Goodnight bro!!" He replied.
"Hahahah okay, goodnight!!" I sent.

After I sent the text, I just played a few games then called Beatrice after.

"Hey Chris!!" She said.
"Oh hey Beatrice! Whatcha doin??" I said.
"Oh well, nothing much, just laying here in my bed, how bout u?" She asked
"Hahaha samee, you're not gonna sleep yet?" I asked.
"Hmm maybe later, I'll just help my mom with a little things." She said.
"Oh that's nice! You really love your mom don't you?" I said
"Well yea, she's all I have after my dad passed away." She said.
"Aww that's so sad. Its good to hear that you're still so independent after that" I said
"Aww thanks, How about you? Where are your parents?" She asked.
"Well my mom passed away years ago and my dad is working abroad." I said.
"Ohh well thats a shame that your mom passed already, I would've loved to meet her." She said.
"Yeah, well I woud've love to let her meet you too." I said
"So since your dad is working abroad, who are you with?" She asked.
"Well its just me, but my dad sends me money so I'm alright." I said.
"Chris you're all by yourself there?" She asked.
"I'm fine, its okay. I'm used to it." I said.
"Well if you say so. I'd like to be there sometimes to keep you company." She said.
"Sure, I'd love that." I said.

After a few seconds in the call, my dad called me.

"Oh look, speak of the devil, my dad is calling." I said.
"Oh, you better take that, I'll hang up for now, I gotta go to bed, goodnight!!!" She said.
"Okayy goodnight!! Sweet dreams!" I said the hung up.

"I wonder why my dad would call me today." I thought as I answered the call.
"Hello? Dad?" I said.
"Hey son, how's it going?" He asked.
"Everythings fine dad, how bout you?" I asked.
"I'm also fine son, I just left early so why not spend my time to talk to my son." He said.
"Aww thanks dad, but you know its okay, I understand that you're tired and all." I said.
"You're such a thoughtful son, I'm sorry I left you all alone there. But I need us to live comfortably in this worl-" He said
"Dad....Its okay, I understand, and actually, I'm not really alone here. I met a girl." I said.
"Ohh a girlfriend huh? What's her name." He asked.
"Her name's Beatrice and she's amazing and I'll tell you all about her." I said.

We talked for the next 1 hour and 30 minutes. I missed my dad so much, and talking to him just made me feel so happy.

"She sounds great son! I hope to meet her soon." He said.
"Me too dad." I said
"Oh son, I almost forgot to tell you, Your uncle's coming over a little bit soon okay? He doesn't have the money to pay the rent for his apartment so he'll be staying there for a while okay?" He said.

Those words made me freeze that I couldn't say anything to him. I began to remember my past when I was still living with my mom and dad. My uncle would always ask my dad for money and he would stay in our house then slave away my mom then abused me whenever he saw me while mom and dad went to work.

"Hello? Son?" My dad called

I heared my dad calling then I was sent back to reality.

"Dad no, he can't.. I-I" I stuttered.
"I know son, I  know he's been hard on you on the past. But he's still family." He said.
"But dad-" I whined
"Son, please, he's just gonna stay for a while then he'll leave okay?" He said.
"Ugh fine dad. But I can't promise to be good when he gets here." I said.
"Fine son." He said.
"When's he gonna be here anyway??" I asked.
"Probably 2 weeks from now." He said.
"2 weeks? But its my-" I said.
"I know son, and I will make sure you have your best day. I'll go talk to your uncle okay? You just have to stay with him for a while." He said.
"O-okay dad." I said.
"Thank you son, I promise to make it uo for you. Anyway, I gotta go now son. Goodnight." He said
"Okay dad, goodnight." I said then hang up.

After that, I went to bed, thinking about my uncle who's gonna stay here with me soon. I prayed that things will get better then drifted off.

I am very sorry that I left y'all hanging there witg chapter 11. But I am once again back and I hope that I can finish this book soon. I have thought a lot of things for this story and I hope you'll like it!!
