chapter 13

Beatrice's POV

After my talk with Chris, I took a nice hot shower. I felt the hot water fall upon my smooth skin that made me relax.
I sighed as I closed my eyes. I thought about what happened earlier that day, in the hallway.
I remembered how I reacted after that.
Then I opened my eyes and I caught myself smiing and blushing in the hot rain in the shower.

I finished my shower then wore my bunny printed pajamas. After drying my hair, I went to check up on mom. She wasn't in the living room so I checked in her bedroom. She was there, on her bed, sleeping.

I went inside then slowly walked up to her. She was sleeping soundly, I kissed her forehead just like when she kissed me when I was young. The I silently went back to my room then went to bed.

*The next day*

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock.
I texted Chris "good morning" then did my daily routine.
I went downstairs to cook breakfast.
I finished cooking then grabbed 2 plates and prepared them with a side of orange juice. As I was done preparing breakfast, my mom woke up just in time.

"Good morning mom! You're just in time, breakfast is ready!" I cheerfully said.
"Oh Good Morning Beatrice, thanks!!" She said then we both ate.

After we finished eating, I kissed my mom goodbye and I'm off to school.

*Timeskip*

I finally arrived to school and I saw Chris, he's just standing there, staring into nothing. I held his shoulder then he was surprised.

"Hey Chris, you all right?" I asked
"Oh hey Beatrice, I didn't see you there, I-I'm fine." He said.
"Hmm okay then, let's go?" I asked
"Y-yeah let's go." He said then we went to class.
"Alright Beatrice, I'll see you later okay?" He said.
"Okay, see you" I said then went in my classroom.

I sat on my seat and I noticed that I was too early, I felt a little bit drowsy so I closed my eyes then drifted off.

"Beatrice, hey wake up." A soft voice called out.
"Beatrice, come on, get up!!" The voice called then I felt someone slapped me.

I shot up my seat to see who slapped me, I saw everyone standing and my teacher already in front of the class, then beside me was Alice.

"Oh sorry sorry!!" I panickly said.
"I'm glad your awake miss Tan, care to stand up and greet like the rest of the class?" Miss Smith said.
"Oh yes maam, sorry." I said then stood up then we all greeted together.

We sat down and I saw Alice giggling a bit from what happened.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.
"You." She said then giggled again.

I just sighed then listened to Ms. Smith.

Chris's POV

My class is very boring, the teacher just discussed a new lesson in which I already know because I had an advance study on this subject. I recited for a bit, we had a seatwork. Then next period started.
I listened to the lessons the teacher discussed then I felt a little bit drowsy but I fought it anyways.

*Timeskip to lunchtime*

The bell rang then lunch finally started.
I bought my food and ate at the cafeteria. I was thinking about my uncle's situation my dad told me about then I was probably phasing out because the next thing I knew, I saw Beatrice sitting in front of me.

"Chris?" She called worriedly.
"Hm? Oh Beatrice, sorry I didn't see you there. Did you need something?" I asked.
"Yeah actually, I need you to tell me what's wrong?" She said.
"What? Nothing's wrong." I said.
"Yes there is Chris, please, talk to me." She said.
"Okay then, later, can you come over to my place? I'll tell you everything." I asked.
"Sure." She said.

Lunchtime is over, we went back to our classes then finally its dismissal time.
I told Alice that I'm going to Chris's house then she asked if its alright that she'll go with me. I said okay then we met Chris by the lockers.

"Hey Chris, is it okay if Alice came with us?" I asked.
"Hm? Oh sure! I brought Jake too." I said.
"Oh, where is he?" Alice asked.
"He's just went in the restroom, he'll be back." Chris said then we saw Jake coming back
"Hey guys, what's up." Jake said.
"Heyoo, lets go?" I asked.
"Sure, lets go." Chris said then the 4 of us went to Chris' house.
