Everyone at school knew something was going on between Sam and I. Nobody knew besides Xav the exact details, but everyone knew it was serious. It's been a week since I told her about the gang, and the truth about her uncle. I didn't feel bad about it. I was kind of relieved that there were no more secrets on my side about my life. But, in this last week, Sam and I didn't talk once. So, you can only imagine how the girls were responding to this. The girls used it to their advantage and tried to get with me, but it never worked. I couldn't get my mind off Sam. During lunch hours, she stayed as far away from me as possible, but that didn't stop me from staring at her. When I wasn't staring at her, she was looking at me.
I no longer knew what to do when it came to her. I changed my number, no one had it anymore except for the gang, my parents, her parents and her. I had no idea if she was okay, if our baby was okay or how she was doing. Fuck, I just missed her.
She had her own things to worry about though. She had to take care of our baby, keep her mouth shut about the gang, find a way to tell our parents, and make sure she was eating properly, taking care of herself and taking vitamins to care for the baby.
It almost made me feel bad that we weren't on speaking terms. But, then again that wasn't my fault.
"Dude! What are you thinking about?" Luke asked me.
I zoned back in on their conversation. "What?" I asked him.
"We've been talking for the last ten minutes and you haven't heard a thing we've said, have you?"
"Sorry," I muttered. "My life is just a bit hectic right now. Just thinking about what to do about it."
"To do about what?" Luke asked me.
"Nothing, it doesn't matter. I'll see you later." I replied, getting up and walking away.
I left and went back home. It's useless to try and get an education when you can't think anyways.
My phone vibrated so I opened it to see who it was.
Xav: Are you okay?
Hunter: Fine.
Xav: You should talk to her.
Hunter: I wouldn't even know where to start.
Xav: Well think of something soon, I just pulled into your driveway with her.
Hunter: YOU WHAT?
Xav: Girl's moody. Almost started crying when I said no the second time. The first time I said no she started to yell at me. You knocked her up, you fix it. I don't want to put up with her moody ass again.
I chose to ignore his message and just waited until she came in. I didn't know what was going on between us, but I didn't want to fight with her anymore. She was roughly two months into her pregnancy, and I didn't want to miss anymore of it. I wanted to be there for her.
A knock came on my door. I waited for her to come in and she didn't. My phone vibrated again.
Xav: Answer your door asshole.
I got up off the couch and went to my door. She stood there, shyly staring at the door as it opened. I looked at her and it looked like she didn't have a baby bump, but she was holding her stomach. I looked at her. We stood like that for a few minutes until I finally broke the silence. "Um, are you going to come in?" I asked her.
"Sure," she said. I opened the door wider, so she could step through. I left her in the porch and came to sit back on the couch.
She joined me a couple seconds after and sat on the couch opposite of me. "Why are you here?" I finally asked her.
