"No! I don't like the idea. I don't like the fact my child could be in jeopardy. Hunter, I don't like it. Please don't make me do it." Sam cried.

"Sam, I-I-I don't have an option. They're going to keep coming after you until we put a stop to it. You want to go to prom, don't you? You want to graduate, right? We've thought of so many things and this is the only thing."

"Hunter, please." Sam sobbed.

I started to cry with her. "I don't want to put you in danger and I'm so sorry you're in this mess with me. It's all my fault. If I would have listened to you and not beat up Novak when he tried to make a move on you, none of this would have happened. I'm so sorry, Sam."

She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up at me, putting on a brave face. "After this is over, I want nothing to do with you. I never want to see you again," she hissed. "Ever since you got me pregnant, there has been nothing but fights, arguments, danger, and now life-threatening issues. If the baby or I gets hurt because of this Hunter, I swear to God you will never want to see me again. I will make you regret meeting me."

I knew she was right. I had to stay away from her to protect her. I didn't deserve her, she was full of love and light and my life was scary and harmful. I couldn't put her or my kid through this anymore. "Don't worry. When this is over, you won't have to see me again."

"Good. Hurry up and get this in motion. I want to go home to safety."

I walked out of the room to find Xav. He already contacted the Boars and they agreed to our meeting. I guess they turned on Novak. N was going to walk with Sam to the park and Novak was going to meet him there. We'll have the park surrounded, just everyone will be hidden. I'm sure Novak will have some guys hiding as well. So, when they meet in the middle of the park and after he hands Sam over, Sam will be responsible for stabbing him in the side. When she does that, she will run back to N and he will be responsible for protecting her. Xav and I will come out of hiding and pick him up off the ground. The rest will be up to the Boars.

"She's ready." I said to Xav.

"Are you sure she's going to be able to handle this?"

"Do we have a choice? I like the idea even less than you do but I don't see how else to keep her safe."

"You could do what N originally suggested and send her away."

"And make her keep running for her life until it's dealt with back here? I can't do that to her because Novak will have people scouring the earth for her. He's obsessed with her. We have to deal with this now."

"As much as I know you're right, she's going to hate you."

"She already does, Xav. That's why, when this is over, I'm leaving. She doesn't want to be around me anymore, and I only seem to bring danger to her. I just need you to keep an eye on her and keep her safe for me. Can you do that, please?"

"You're going to leave? Just like that?"

"I can't keep causing her this pain or keep putting her and the baby in danger. She needs to be safe. They need to be safe, Xav."

"I don't think that's the best solution, man."

"She deserves someone who will live a regular life, who has never been involved in a gang, who she has no history with. She needs someone who has a plain and boring life. That's not me. I keep putting her in danger without even meaning to."

"Explain that to her then! Make her understand! Dude don't throw this away. You'll regret it."

"I regret all of this already, Xav. I put her in danger, I have almost got her killed twice now. We fight like crazy, we hate each other and then love each other. It's a toxic relationship that isn't good for either of us."

Xav sighed, defeated. He knew there was no talking me out of this. "Fine, I'll keep my eye on her. But you have to promise me you'll come back."

"I will be back. I will eventually be taking over my father's company. Just make sure she's happy and that my daughter is taken care of. I'll send you money for her and Sam every month, and make sure my kid knows I love her. Okay?"

"I will."

"Good. Let's get this over with so Sam can be safe, permanently."

"This will work, Hunt." Xav tried to reassure me.

"I hope so."

I walked out to the living room. "Everything is in place. Is Sam ready?" N asked me.

"She hates me more than life itself right now, but she's ready."

"Are you sure she's going to be able to do this?" N asked me.

"I think she will be able to."

"This could damage her for life," N replied.

"She's already been damaged by that fucking moron. She's just now getting her revenge."

Sam walked in the room completely avoiding me. "Is that the dress with the pockets?" I asked her.

"Obviously," she snapped. She avoided eye contact with me.

"This is the knife you'll use. You open it like this." I told her, showing her how to open the knife. "You have to make it look like you're going against your will, to make it look believable." Xav said to her.

"Oh, trust me, that won't be hard to do. As far as I am concerned, I am going against my will."

I winced at her statement, turning my attention to Xav. "Sam, H and I will be hiding all over the park, so they won't know we're there. Once you accomplish your part, fucking bolt it back to N. He will be there to protect you and then H and I will come get Novak and B will have the contract that I wrote up." Xav said to her.

"Yeah, Hunter already explained it to me." She replied.

"Sam, if you don't do your part you will go with them and we will have to find a way to get you out. I don't know if we'll be able to."

"I know what the risks are!" She snapped. "I'm going to do my part. Do you think I'm stupid not to?"

"He won't bother you after this, Sam."

"This plan better be foolproof." She snapped, walking to the far side of the living room.

"You and N are going to leave in twenty minutes. We're leaving now to scope the place out and to find out where we're going to hide. It should be like a ten to fifteen-minute walk. Be careful, and remember I'm going to be there somewhere, watching." I replied.

"Yeah, whatever." She retorted, refusing to look at me.

I walked out of the house, knowing that this was going to be one of the last times I would be seeing her.

I had a disguise on. I had a black wig and brown contacts I was wearing baggy clothes to make me look like a different person. I cursed out N the whole walk there for making me do this. I hated him all the more for getting me involved in the gang in the first place.

When I made it to the park, I scouted the place out. They would be meeting near the back of the park, away from observing eyes. There were kids playing over at the park and I saw the perfect spot. A, what looks like, single mother was over on the bench with her kid playing in the sand beside her. I walked over and sat beside her. I made it look like I was with her by striking up a conversation. It flowed smoothly between us and I was actually enjoying myself.

I saw Sam and N enter the park. I stole a glimpse at her. You could tell she was pregnant, her dress was flowing, but you could see her stomach. She was getting bigger. She held her stomach protectively. I knew she was scared shitless. She didn't know what I looked like because we figured if she did, she would make it obvious we were here.

Please start your show, Sam. Make it seem like you don't want to be there.

It was like she heard my thoughts, because she started to turn and try to walk away, but N caught her and wrapped his arm around her, walking beside her. She looked around, scared. She was looking for a way out.

They walked behind me towards the back of the park.

And I waited.
