"This is all wrong! All of it!" I ripped up the paper in anger. "Can you not get anything right? It's simple! Dawson Enterprises gets seventy-five percent of the business deal or there is no deal. Especially since they want us to pay for the creation of it. Now go write it out again and come back with it correctly, or this time you're fired!" I snapped at the lawyer who couldn't write a damn business deal for the life of him.
"Maybe you're being to hard on him," my assistant said to me.
"Too hard? I'm being too hard on him?" I asked her. "This is the third time he has come back with the same contract. He has fucked it up every single time he has written it. There is no 'being to hard on him.' He is a lawyer, he twists the truth for a living, he should know how to write a damn business deal!"
"It's more than that, you've been mad and uptight ever since that picture of me and you came out." I had to control the anger that was burning inside of me when she mentioned that stupid picture. "The media department already dealt with it, making a statement saying that the image was misunderstood, and we were never dating. You're letting something in the past, still consume you, that isn't good for you."
"What isn't good for me, is having you here, lecturing me."
"Fine, I'll stop giving you my advice after this piece of it." I sat there, waiting for her to speak. "If you miss her that much, instead of torturing all of us, just go see her and tell her you were stupid and you're sorry."
"So, first I am letting something consume me and now I'm torturing you? Why don't you just write your resignation letter if you hate it here so much?"
"I don't hate it here and you know that. I just hate how you're being right now. You're making everyone else hate coming to their job every day. It is not their fault that the picture was published. I know you're angry but unleash it in the gym or something. Don't take it out on the people that work for you. You want staff here by the time your replacement comes."
She had a point, I know she did. I just kept thinking about Sam and what she thought about that picture being released. What must be going through her head? She must believe that I am dating my assistant. That fueled my anger even more. My two bodyguards were in the corner of the room. This means, I don't have idiots trying to take pictures of me again.
One bodyguard has black hair, a tall and bulky stature and dark blue eyes. If I were scared of people, he would definitely be someone I would fear. The other one had blond hair, brown eyes and a skinny stature. You could tell he meant business though and he knew what he was doing. I was less worried about my personal life being invaded with these two around me constantly.
"Whatever clear my schedule for the rest of the day. I want to go home. Call me a car as well, I'm not in the mood to be here anymore today."
She left to do what I asked, and I got up to walk out. My two bodyguards followed me, one led the way and the other walked behind me.
I got in the car and went home. I didn't really know what to do with the body guards when I went home. I didn't know whether to send them home or to offer them a room or what. "When I get home, what happens to you both?" I asked my bodyguards.
"One stays and the other goes home. We switch up nights." The one in the back said to me.
We kept walking to the elevator. "And what does the one that stays in my house do?"
"Usually just stays awake and makes sure no one tries to break in."
"When do they sleep?"
"Usually when you're gone to bed and everything is quiet in the house. We tend to wake up at the smallest noises though," he replied.
