"No Angelica, I'm not going into work today, I'm sick." I replied, speaking into the phone.

"You're full of it, Hunter, and you know it. Get your butt into work, now. I will call your father if I must. You have to sign over the company to Samantha Dawson, today. You've been moping in that hotel room of yours all weekend. You've prolonged seeing her for a few hours now, but now you must face her. Man up, Hunter. Put on that poker face you are so good at wearing and come into work."

"No," I replied.

"Hunter, I'm trying really hard not to swear you out right now. Get into work now, you have important things to do."

"When did you become the boss of me? I thought I was the boss of you."

"When you decided to act like a child and run from your problems. News flash, Hunter, they aren't going to go away. They'll still be there tomorrow, the next day and the day after that."

"Just tell Sam that I'll be in tomorrow."

"You don't think I've tried that?" She hissed into the phone. "I've told her you won't be in today. I told her you're sick, I've told her you're taking a personal day. She threatened to have me fired if I didn't call you and make you come here. My job is on the line, Hunter."

"She doesn't have the rights to fire you, Angelica, don't worry about it."

"Actually, until you sign over the company to her, she is still employed under Thomas Enterprises, so technically, yes she does."

"Fuck sakes, fine, tell Sam I'll be there within the hour."

"Thank you, Hunter."

"Don't thank me yet, Angelica. Have security on standby and remove all personnel off the CEO floor. I have a feeling this isn't going to go well at all."

"And if Samantha says no?"

"You work for me, not Samantha Dawson. If she has a problem with my orders, you can tell her to call me. And when she asks for my number don't give it to her. And when she tries to fire you, tell her she will not get her company if that's the case. I don't mind keeping Dawson Enterprises, after all the bad press she has gotten, it might be in the company's best interest for me to keep it."

"Hunter," Angelica warned.

"She'll get the damn company, Angelica. Don't worry about it. Just do as I ordered, and I'll be there soon." I hung up and texted her telling her to have my driver and bodyguards waiting for me.

I hopped in the shower, muttering and cursing Sam out for causing me this much trouble on a Monday morning. Once I was done, I walked out of the room where my bodyguards were waiting. "Angelica is such a good assistant," I said to the two men.

"She's very cranky." The tall one replied. "She has been fighting with Samantha Dawson all morning, it's not a good idea to be on her bad side this morning, sir."

"I'll have all this fixed by this evening. Let's go boys, we have a company to run and hopefully, not to the ground."

Myself and my two bodyguards got in the car and we drove to Dawson Enterprises. Angelica was waiting at the front door for me.

"Angelica, how nice it is to see you on this dreary morning." I said to her.

"The only reason I didn't strangle her is because she is pregnant," she hissed. "She's a horrible person, with a terrible attitude. I did what you told me to do."

"Perfect, take the rest of the day off, by the sounds of it, you need it. I'll send you work to your email so you can work from home for the next couple of days. Thank you for your help."
