Ready for more NamjoonxYumi moments?
Enjoy ❤️It was a free day for me. The midterm exams has finally ended and I thanked my lucky stars I didn’t flunk any of them. With how much work I put into studying these past weeks, I’m surprised I can still manage to drag myself out of my bed and get some needed dessert.
I feel a little excited with the thought of eating the heavenly cheesecake from the café down the street when the elevator door opened and I see Hobi clad in a full black outfit. A failed attempt for a disguise.
Despite how dark his choice of clothing is for today, his smile outshines the ensemble and I am met by his enthusiastic greeting.
“Hello, Yumi! Good afternoon!” He exclaimed.
I instantly smiled back. No matter how much I deny it, I feel relief every time I’m in the presence of a non-cynical person. And Hobi makes our conversations easy. He’s such a ball of sunshine that he lights up even the darkest of my thoughts.
“Hey, Hobi. Going to a funeral or something?” I teased. He laughed at my question and took off the mask that is covering his nose and mouth.
“I’m late for practice actually. I wasn’t feeling ok last night. I guess the members just didn’t want to wake me up this morning.” He explained. I looked at his face. He does look a little pale. But the color of his skin doesn’t affect the positivity exuding from him.
“Are you feeling better now?” I asked him with worry. It must’ve shown in my face because I can see how his expression softened from his enthusiasm to gratefulness from my concern.
“Don’t worry. It’s nothing a little rehydration can’t fix.” He told me while gesturing to the water bottle he was holding. I nodded at his response and decided to let it go.
“Where are you going?” he asked me.
“For dessert. I’m feeling like rewarding myself. The exams are finally over.” I told him while smiling.
“Oh, wow! I’m sure you did great.” He told me. I chuckled at his reaction and I can see he was thinking of something.
“How about I take you? I can drive you. I didn’t tell any of our managers to pick me up so I’m driving mine today.” He offered. He’s now holding out his hand and I can see a set of keys on it.
“No, it’s fine. It’s just a little walk from here anyway.” I told him while smiling. I didn’t want to offend him by rejecting his offer but I wouldn’t risk getting seen with one of them. I know their fans are silently lurking in the shadows even in broad daylight waiting for their chance to pounce at either one of them.
He frowned at my response. When the elevator door opened for the ground floor, I was ready to walk out of the door and bid him goodbye when he held my wrist and instantly pushed the button to close the door.
“What the hell, Hobi?” He just laughed at my angered reaction and still held on to my wrist. The elevator is now slowly going down to the basement parking lot and I realized what he was doing.
“Let me drive you, Yumi. It’s perfectly safe if that’s what you’re worried about.” He told me while grinning widely at me. I felt a sense of déjà vu remembering the first night I had dinner at their dorm. Why are they so persistent in spending time with me?
“But you said you’re already late for practice. Let me go Hobi.” I whined at him but he just shrugged it off and slid his hand from my wrist down to my hand, holding it tightly.
