It's the weekend guys! Go out with your friends, watch a movie or sleep. I don't know. Just do things that makes you relax. We need some escape from the stress our everyday life gives. I know I just basically told you to not stress yourself but I'm sorry about this chapter.

Anyways, read on ❤️

My eyes darted from Tessa’s teary face to Jin’s apologetic eyes. It still feels so surreal to see her standing in front of me. I can feel my hands shaking so I forced to close them so I can try and breathe. The room is enveloped with an eerie silence. I can hear everyone’s steady breathing. No one dared to move. I can guess they are as confused as I am.

I see Tessa inching closer to me. She’s walking slowly and I can tell she’s being cautious. My eyes are still focused on her. Even though my sight is blurry with the tears that I’m shedding, I can still see the little movements she’s making. Once she’s close enough, I found myself unconsciously taking a step back.

“Yumi…”

“You’re not real.” I answered instantly. I felt Namjoon’s strong grip on both of my arms to steady me. I stood in place and continued looking at Tessa and Jin.

“Why are you here?” I asked weakly.

“I’m…can we talk somewhere private? Please?” she answered.

I shook my head. “No. Answer me. Why are you here?” I asked again with a stronger voice. The anger is slowly creeping up to my head. I don’t even know why I’m angry. I should be happy. I missed Tessa a lot. But why do I feel like there is something else that is going on here?

“Yumi. I’m here to see you.” She replied softly. The tears are still running from her pretty eyes and even though the sudden urge to hug her is strong, I can’t seem to move from where I was standing.

“How do you know her?” I directed my question to Jin. My voice is laced with coldness that I feel Namjoon tightening his hold. I shrugged his hands off me and walked a step closer to Jin’s direction.

“Yumi…” I hear Namjoon say.

“I’ll ask again. How do you know her?” My stare is full of spite now. I can sense the nervousness in Jin’s stance. His eyes are looking at every face in the room and I can now tell that he’s been keeping this secret for a long time.

“It’s not his fault, Yumi.” Tessa answered. I furrowed my eyebrows at her.

“So you know Hangeul now?” I asked mockingly.

“Yumi…” Namjoon warned.

“Please let me explain everything to you. Jin just helped me. He didn’t mean any harm, Yumi.” Tessa is pleading now. Both her hands are grabbing the side of her dress. I’m already feeling bad. Tessa hates it when the people she cares about are in an argument. I grew up knowing how Tessa will always sacrifice herself just to make it easier for everybody. Her whole life was dedicated to taking care of me. But why do I feel so betrayed?

“He helped you? So what, you’ve been in Korea the whole time and he’s been helping you?” I shouted. Both of them did not answer. Am I right? Was Tessa here the whole time?

Hyung, is that true?” Namjoon answered from behind me. I can see Jin’s eyes turning apologetic again. This is insane. The whole time I thought I was leaving my life here on my own terms, someone was actually keeping tabs on me. I knew my family is capable of doing that. But I didn’t know it would involve someone like Jin.

I laughed sarcastically. “Wow. Really?”

“Yumi. Let’s not drag them into this. Jin did this for me. For us.”
