I'm close to 300 reads. Yey! Help a girl out and tell a friend about this story guys. It may not be the best but I poured my heart out at each chapter.

Enjoy 💜

For as long as I can remember, I only had Tessa and my parents. There was also our housemaids, but they come and go and there were really only Tessa and her mom who remained the longest with us. The people I know growing up only includes my relatives, who are all too caught up with their lives to pay attention to the younger me, and of course, my dad’s business associates.

So when I moved to Korea, there was a huge adjustment. For me to act and live “normal”, I need to interact with people I haven’t usually interacted my whole life. I needed to fit in to not draw attention. I thought living with Jesse and being her friend would account to having a normal life. But boy, I was wrong.

To add up to Jesse’s long list of socialite friends are seven dorks that I don’t want to admit but I’m starting to get fond of. They started to constantly send me random messages. Jimin and Taehyung who are around my age always sends me random videos of either them or their members. The videos usually includes Jin’s dad jokes and his vanity or how they constantly annoy their youngest. Yoongi, however, is the most amusing. The guy sends a text whenever he needs to get a hold of his girlfriend or the girl fails to reply to Yoongi’s random need for attention. His clinginess never fails to amaze me. You might call him possessive but the way he manages to be a softie in front of my roommate makes him all the more cuter than he was before.

Jungkook is too shy to even start a conversation but I appreciate his cute little messages that reminds me to not skip a meal or to listen to a song he is currently listening in as well. Hobi, the little ball of energy, doesn’t forget to send me funny good morning messages that always consists of memes with his face on it which their fans had made.

And Namjoon. The first time he texted me, I fought the urge to text him back. At first it was just random small talks. Like how my day went, how cold it was, what type of coffee his manager bought him today and how he hates it or like Jungkook, a new song that he was listening to at that moment. And much to his dismay, I always intentionally send one word answers or I somehow find a way to cut the conversation short.

Little by little, I got to know him. His insights, his dreams, how much he adores his fans, how important his brothers are to him and his fears of not keeping the group together for as long as he can. And I know that every time he shares a part of himself to me, there is that little hope that I would share mine as well.

They were in the middle of finalizing the next instalment for their album series and they are set to promote in the US. One night, I found Jesse sprawled on our living room couch, exhausted. She was working closely with the style team on how to promote the boys’ next album and their next tour making her extra tired every time she went home. Sometimes, she crashes at the boys’ dorm telling me that Yoongi makes her stay just so he can sleep better. Living in the same building makes it convenient for their relationship. It’s quite envious actually, but I still manage to remind myself that being in a relationship is not a priority right now,

On that same particular night, I wanted to get some fresh air but too tired to take a walk. I hiked my way up to the building’s roof top. For the whole year that I’ve been living here, I only managed to visit this place 3 times. It was the middle of August and the weather is particularly muggy. Despite the temperature, the night still gives out a cool summer breeze that is relaxing at this time.
