Author's note: In celebration of 1.14 releasing today, at the time of writing this, I give you a story about Jellie.

Description: Cub and Jellie argue over Scar and have to fight phantoms together.

The full moon wove little sparkles into the ocean as the stars twinkled in the sky. On the flat land surrounded by large volcanic spires on Pirate Island, a large bonfire crackled, illuminating that part of the island and sending spruce-scented smoke into the air. As Cub tended to the fire, some cats nearby shifted while napping, or chasing each other around the island, mindful of the fire. A few were rubbing against his legs, demanding cuddles.

Cub took a step back to admire it all. It had only been two days and Scar had managed to get the complete catalog(although he and Cub had to rob the guardian farm twice). All the houses on the island were populated with at least 5 cats per house. He turned to go sit on the lounge with Scar.

"It's a nice night out tonight," he said.

Scar smiled. "It's such a beautiful night, Cub."

Cub then turned to give his Convex partner a hug when all of a sudden a cat ran to the lounge, wiggling between the two and putting a paw on Cub's chest, stopping the hug.

"Oh Jellie, you silly girl." Scar said. He started petting her.

"Yeah, silly cat," Cub grumbled, glaring at Jellie.

Jellie glared back as if to say 'Back off homeboy. It's my turn with Scar.'

Cub let out a small growl before going back over to the fire to see if the cats that were rubbing up on him earlier still wanted cuddles. Ever since Scar had gotten Jellie, the two had been competing for Scar's attention. It also didn't help that she was a one of a kind cat in the cat herd.

There were multiple black cats in the group, named Shadow, Midnight, Panther, Witch Hazel, Void, and other fitting names. They had to ask Joe for names for all the Persians, and he named each one after a different saltin, though with all the cats and the names he could remember off the top of his head, he had trouble naming them all without making some a second or a third. They were definitely running out of posh names for the tuxedo cats. Of course, the clever little naming system devised to keep track of who's who in this massive herd died out when they still had absurd amounts of cats with no names in each of the remaining breeds.

But there was only one Jellie, and she knew it.

Cub sulked until a familiar screaming and a lot of annoyed growling brought him out of it. He looked up at the sky to see about 20 phantoms circling. Cub readied his bow as one swooped down and fired a shot, but it missed. He thought that after that attack the phantom would go after him, but it instead went for unarmed Scar with Jellie still on his lap. Cub quickly reloaded and fired the bow, missing the phantom again as it swooped in. As the phantom was just inches away from the sitting ducks, Jellie let out a hiss and swatted it on the nose, knocking it to the ground. The other cats pounced, biting and clawing till the attacker was dead.

Then all Hell broke loose. Groups of 4 to 5 phantoms swooped down in rapid succession but were quickly sent skyward when the cats leapt at them. A few lucky phantoms were able to get in a devastating bite on a cat, sending it running away with its tail between its legs and clinging onto its last bit of life. The strangest thing was Jellie seemed to be leading the attack, telling the other cats when the phantoms were swooping. Once Cub figured out what was going on, he started shooting at the phantoms, knocking them out of the sky so the cats could finish them off. The tide of battle shifted and it looked like the cats would win this fight when disaster struck.

While Cub was dealing with two phantoms swooping at him, two more snuck down. One swooped at Jellie only to get a hit in on her left side while she was open, and the one she smacked got the finishing bite, killing her. Scar cried out in anguish. The sudden loud noise stunned the phantoms, giving Cub enough time to shoot them both down. The remaining phantoms flew away, wisely deciding not to attack the army of cats.

When the phantoms were gone, Cup picked up his grief-stricken friend and started walking him to the cove, the herd of cats following him. Once inside, he set Scar down on the dock and turned to the cats. "Anyone who needs healing come here. We have potions."

The cats did not respond.

Then Scar spoke up. "Come here kitties. Anyone who needs healing come to papa."

The wounded cats all padded over to Scar as he pulled a health potion out of his pocket. Cub ducked out of the cove to check his phone and saw he had a message from X.

"It's the strangest thing. The server woke me up saying someone not on the whitelist respawned at spawn island, and when I checked, the only living thing on the island is a cat."

Cub listened as X explained, a theory forming in his head. It couldn't be, could it?'

But when they got there, sitting right by the nether portal was Jellie.

"How?"

"I'm not sure. Something may be off with her code. I'll have to check it out." X said, advancing on the sitting cat.

"Can that wait?"

"Sure."

Cub walked over to the portal. "Okay Jellie, follow me."

Jellie glared at him.

"Come on, this is the fastest way to the island."

Jellie still would not budge.

X laughed and pulled a boat out of his inventory, placing it in the water. Jellie immediately climbed in, looking over her shoulder impatiently at Cub.

"Guess we're going by boat," Cub grumbled, climbing in the boat and taking the oars. However, before he could start rowing, Jellie climbed on his lap and started purring, prompting more laughter from X. "Does this mean we're cool, cat?" Cub asked.

Jellie looked up at him and shook her body, which Cub assumed was her version of a shrug.

"I'll take it." he sighed, then started rowing to Pirate Island, and Scar, who was no doubt going to shower both of them in love and affection.

Author's note: This could work as an explanation for why phantoms are scared of cats.  Also, this is probably the best example of me sucking at descriptions.
