Tay sat down in her English class next to her best friend jenna. They had almost every class together, which meant this new school year would be a lot more tolerable than the last. Last year, the only class they had together was biology and their stickler of a teacher would never let them work together.

"I'm so excited. This teacher is supposed to be extremely hot. All the boys were talking about her."

Tay laughed. "Jeez Jen, you're such a lesbo. Keep it in your pants."

Jenna gasped in mock hurt. "I am a proud bisexual. Not lesbian. How dare you insult me like that. Get it right Tay."

Tay only laughed again. "Loser." She said as the bell rung.

Yes jenna was bisexual. It never bothered Tay though. In fact, when they had first became friends jenna had developed a small crush on Tay and she found out. She didn't freak out like jenna expected her to, she teased her. Winked at her when she caught her staring, whispered sexual innuendoes in her ear when they hugged, just for a bit of fun.

Eventually, Jenna's crush faded and Tay stopped teasing and they eased into a strong, healthy friendship. It was good. They were both in need of another friend that was a girl.

Tay pulled out a pencil and paper, preparing to write down the list if required materials for the course. It was probably just the standard notebook, binder, and pens, but Tay wanted to be sure. She stopped what she was doing, however, when the teacher entered the room.

Jenna was right. She was hot. Her bright red hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail and she wore a short pencil skirt that ended just above the knees paired with a tight, white button up that was so thin Tay could just make out the out line of her bra.

"Holy fuck..." Tay heard jenna say, and she nodded her head in agreement. She may not be gay, but she couldn't deny the shock that coursed through her body when the teacher smirked at her and her friend. She must have heard Jenna's comment.

Her smirk soon became a full fledged smile as she addressed the whole class. "Hello everyone, I'm Ms. Williams. You're American literature teacher for the year. In this class we'll explore novels, poetry, and short stories written by American authors from the start of the colonial period to present day. You'll write several essays throughout the year that I've designed to help you discover more about your writing style and..." She paused and looked directly at Tay and smirked "...yourselves. Any questions?"

The room was silent. No one raised a hand.

"Good. Now let's begin."
