Chapter 15

Dianne's POV

"Katya?" I question.

"Yes," Josh says. "She came up to me with a couple of other people."

I knew that Katya could be bad, after everything that she's said to me, but I never would've thought she'd turn to violence.

"I can't believe she'd do that," I say.

"Di, you always try to look for the best in people. But sometimes, there just is nothing good," Joe says, hugging me. "What should we do about Katya?"

"We could report her?" Lauren suggests.

"Yeah. But we could go up to her first?" Jack says.

"I haven't seen a good fight in a while," Mikey says, rubbing his hands together.

"That's not the attitude," Caspar laughs, but I can tell he's joking. Everyone laughs too, apart from Jack, who's looking off into the distance somewhere. I'm about to ask him what's up, but Byron gets there first.

"Jack, seriously bro, what's up? You aren't yourself."

"Seriously Byron, it's nothing," Jack sighs.

"Er, yeah. That's what nothing looks like," Oli adds. "Jack, please tell us."

"Is it something to do with AJ?" Chloe adds. "He's my dance partner outside of school. I'm sure I could talk to him."

"No, no," Jack rushes, and he starts to blush a little.

"You're blushing," I say. "Jack, please tell us what's up. We just want to help."

At that point AJ walks over to us and directs himself at Chloe.

"Sorry to interrupt," AJ starts. "But can I speak to you for a second Chloe?"

"Course," Chloe says, getting up.

"Anyway, back to the Katya situation," Jack says. "What are we going to do?"

"I heard my name."

Katya comes over to us and flicks her hair into my face. Joe grips onto me tighter, and I can see Josh clenching his fists, along with Mikey.

"So? You were talking about me?" Katya says, spitting her gum out onto the floor.

"Yeah, we were," Josh says. "I remember what you did."

"And what was that?" Katya says.

"Playing dumb?" Josh says.

"Josh, really?" Amy asks.

"Really Amy," Josh says.

"Scared are we Amy?" Katya smirks.

"Katya, what happened? You were nice before," I say.

"Why would I answer to such a bitch?" Katya says, and then spits in my direction.

That's what does it. Joe, Josh, Mikey and Caspar all rush forward, Joe punching Katya first. Katya tries to attack back, but it's four on one and she has no chance. The boys then step back, Katya paralysed to the floor. I look around and see a whole crowd of people have come to watch.

"Back off!" Joe yells. Everyone starts to disperse off.

"Wow," Lauren says.

"She spat at Dianne," Joe says. "There's no way I could let that happen."

"What on earth has gone on here?" a teacher shouts, coming over to us all. "Katya!"

"They attacked me," Katya mumbles.

"She spat at Dianne," Mikey says. "And hated on her."

"And attacked Josh," Caspar says.

"Katya, up we get," the teacher says. "Boys, I want you to come with me."

"What? Even us?" Oli asks.

"Even you," the teacher says. "And which one is Dianne?"

I raise my hand slightly.

"Can you come as well? If Katya has indeed been saying stuff about you, we need to hear it."

The teacher leads us away, Joe grabbing hold of my hand.

"It'll be ok," Joe whispers.

Chloe's POV

Me, AJ, Lauren and Amy are now left as everyone else walks off. I don't really know why they needed all the boys, but I wasn't going to question it.

"Is everything alright between you two?" Amy asks. "I'm Amy, by the way."

"AJ," AJ says. "Yeah."

"Can I tell them?" I ask.

"I suppose," AJ sighs.

"So you know how the boys and Dianne have been saying that Jack's been acting weirdly?" I begin. Lauren and Amy nod. "Well, they think it's something to do with AJ."

"Right," Lauren says. "And?"

"AJ likes Jack."
