The path of a lone wolf wasn't simple.
It was painful.
It was dark.
The worst thing was, he never had an option.

Boboiboy was used to being forgotten. He wasn't the one that you would notice when you walked into a room. He wasn't particularly bubbly or flashy in parties. He certainly wasn't the life of anything.
But that all changed when he had his powers.
He was given attention and praise for his deeds. They noticed him. For the first time in life, he felt as if he had a purpose, that he existed.
That changed as well.

Ever since he lost his powers, he was a shadow among the group. Useless, avoidable, and invisible.
When his friends were talking, he would only sit and listen. They didn't even so much as glance at his direction or mention him. Every word he said would be met with a "Oh, that's nice," or be ignored entirely. Slowly he had learned to keep quiet.
"We have a mission," Yaya said to her friends. "Retrieving a power sphere from planet Xato."
Ying, Gopal and Fang cheered. They rose from the cafeteria seats and headed towards their rooms to prepare. Boboiboy rose as well, but Yaya shook her head at him before he even fully stood up.
"It's too dangerous. You can't go. Not without your powers."
"Oh." Boboiboy sat down again.
Yaya gave him a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry." She left the room.
His mind raced. Why won't they let him go with them? There wasn't a problem before, was there? Why?
What happened to the time where they charged onto Kaizo's ship, powerless? They didn't have powers at the time. What changed now?
He didn't know what to do. He was usually the one to take charge, but they were the only people he was close to. He was alone in this station, as the others have their own missions to worry about. Everyone was busy but him.
No matter what, he still worried for them.

Their mission was a success. It turned out better than before. After that, they went on more missions without Boboiboy, all returning more victorious than ever.
People quickly forgot about Boboiboy's existence. They all applauded this new team without their previous leader. As things went, they were happier and safer without Boboiboy. Even villains didn't seem to notice him anymore, as he no longer posed as a threat.
He was forgotten.
Ochobot was busy with the team's training. No one had time for him. Cattus and Bellbot were also becoming stronger.
Yet here he was, alone and dejected.
Bitter bile raced up his throat. He didn't want to return to being the odd one out. He didn't want to lose his friends. His family neglected him. His friends had forgotten his presence as well. He was scared, to be a shadow again.
As he grew up, he was alone. He hated it, but there was nothing he can do. He never had a best friend before, and just when he thought he had found true friends...
They left him again.
