The First Appointment

*Jamie's POV*

Wow! Today's the day! My doctors appointment to see my little baby. I woke Dick up "Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" I hit him with a pillow. I heard a giggle. "Get up!" I said and he turned to look at me. "Morning sweetie. You ready for our appointment today?" Dick asked smiling at me. "Yes!" Dick pulled me close to him and kissed my lips. "Let's go." I got dressed in the nicest thing I could find, and Dick of course has to go as Nightwing because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten this appointment. Dick brushed my hair and his hair too. After we got dressed and ready to go, Dick grabbed his car keys and we walked to the car and made our way to the Hospital. When we got there everyone stared in terror. Dick checked me in and I had to fill out a form and after about 15 minutes we go in. "Ok so we need you to put this on. " The doctor had me put a gown on, and I couldn't have underwear. After I got dressed the doctor had me lay down so she could see my baby. Dick held my hand and we both watched the screen and we saw a little dot "There's your baby." The doctor said and Dick and I both smiled. "I can't believe there's a baby in there." I said almost going to cry. "You guys wanna hear the heartbeat?" Dick and I both said "Yes" at the same time. The doctor pressed a button on the machine and we heard something that sounded like a drum. It was our baby's heartbeat. "Everything seems to be doing good. Just let me get a picture for you guys to take home." The doctor walked out of the room and I looked at Dick, he looked so happy. I rubbed his cheek. "There's really a baby in there." Dick said and I smiled and kissed him. After a few minutes the doctor came back, and gave us our picture, and told us when to come back. After we left he took us out to eat. It was the most exciting thing I'd say has ever happened to me in my whole life. We were actually having a baby.
