~Regina POV~

If Emma wasn't so drunk last night, who knew if I would have been able to push her away. Yes I'm happy with Robin, we have our ups and downs but with Emma it's full of ups. Since we were little it's always been Emma and I.

Who knows if I've developed feelings for her over the years? Who knows if I see her as anything more than a friend? Maybe I just feel sorry for her judging by what she is going through and Killian being such a dick to her.

But what i do know is if that kiss was sincere, I wouldn't be able to progress if any further. I still haven't told her I'm pregnant and I know that I've left it for far too long now. She believes I'm being lazy and unappealing by constantly wearing baggy jumpers and big scarfs to cover my bump that is quickly forming, but truth be told, I'm scared.

I'm scared I'm going to lose her.

Emma: hey, can you come over and help with Hen and Scar? Killian didn't come home last night and my head is hanging.

Her message makes me smile, I presume she doesn't remember anything about last night.

Regina: sure, I'll be over right away.

Emma: you're a saint. I love you.

Regina: love you too.

I quickly throw on my black baggy tee and a red scarf, and head to my car. I drive straight to the home that almost feels like my second home, where my darling little friends live.

"Auntie GINA!" They both chant as I stroll through the door wrapping their arms around my waist. I'm not actually their auntie, but I'm the closest they have.

"Hello my precious prince and princess" I coo kissing the top of their heads.

"Can you make us dinner? Mom isn't feeling too good" scarlet whines, making me chuckle just imaging the state Emma is in.

"Sure, you go colour me a wonderful picture for my wall, and I'll make you dinner and check on your mother" I suggest, looking up the stairs and around corners for where she may be resting.

"Ok" they run off to their craft table so I rummage through the freezer for the best put together dinner I could find. "Mommy's upstairs" Henry informs, so I do as I should. Taking ibuprofen and paracetamol up with me, amongst a glass of water.

I timidly knock on the door and enter, watching as she does her best to forced her tired, weak arms to lift herself into a sitting position to retrieve the water and tablets.

"Thank you so much" she hums in appreciation.

"So how you feeling?" I ask, dumbly, she looks awful.

"G... I don't think the cancer treatment is working, I feel like death" she moans.

"It is working, it has to be working. I think it's all the alcohol from last night" I chuckle, sitting beside her on the bed and hugging her close, placing a warming kiss to her bald head. It still takes some getting used to looking at her like this. It's reality, and it's hard to face.

"Did I do anything to embarrass myself?"

"You flashed your tits to the bartender" I project with laughter but she just shrugs as though it's totally normal behaviour, although it more than likely is to her.

"So nothing embarrassing then" she chuckles.

"You also kissed me..."

"That I remember" she winces as though this moment may be a little awkward, but I'm sure drunk friend kiss all the time without it meaning anything... right?

"You was drunk, it's normal for best friends to kiss without it meaning anything, just appreciation of love" I shrug, not at all wanting to make a big deal out of this.

She shuffled up in bed more and spun just a little to face me.

"Gina, it wasn't an accid..."

"Emma honey, how are you feeling?" Suddenly her mother bursts through the door interrupting or conversation. So I take that as my queue to leave and serve the kids dinner.

I head downstairs and start dishing out their dinner, placing their plates on the table with plastic knives and forks beside their plates with a juice cup and sauce.

"Kids, dinner!" I shout.

They come running and racing for their table seats and look down at their dinner in question.

"Fish and chips" scarlet says in an almost mocking tone.

"Yes"

"From the fish and chip shop?" He asks.

"No ... from the fish shop and the potato shop" I mock in return instantly making their noses scrunch up in disgust. Why are they so picky? I pray my child won't be this picky. I wouldn't be able to cope with meal times.

"You got two choices, take it or leave it" I warn in a joking manner.

"Come along children, grandma will take you out to get some proper fish and chips from the chippy" she taunts, instantly making the two little kids run to their grandma.

"What.."

"Emma wants to talk with you, hear her out" she informs as she places the coats and boots on her grandchildren.

"Ok."
