I need Emmy. I need her now. Why isn't she here.

"I want Emmy. I want Emma." I pant in agony. The midwife takes my hand in hers and soothes my worries, wiping away the sweat that lingers on my forehead with a cold compress.

With that being said, Emma bursts through the door in a wheel chair. Weaker than ever, but here she is. By my side forever and always.

"Oh, my God, Gina" Emma smiles, pushing her glasses further up her knows and smiling wider than ever. It's as though seeing me has given her all the strength to experience this moment.

"Take a breather." The midwife instructs, so I do, I follow her lead .

"You can have that baby now." Emmy nods, giving me permission to finally push this baby out of me now that I'm not alone.

"Glad you're here." I smile, taking my hand and softly placing it on her cheek. She takes it and places a soft delicate kiss to my hand and smiles softly in return. Her eyes are glossed over with a thick layer of tears. I couldn't be more happier that she is experiencing this.

"Me, too."

"How could you not tell me... that... this was this painful?" I scream in pure pain as another contraction flows from my head to toes. They're getting more and more consistent and I know the baby will be in our arms shortly.

"Where's your badge?" The midwife questions over to Emma's mother. Utterly confused, but I know this is just part of a costume to get Emma out of the hospice. I knew they'd find a way.

Miranda looks confused until she finally remembers her appearance. "Oh, I'm not a real doctor, it's a long story. I'm her mother." She points to Emma.

"How did you do this twice?" I whine to Emma, this pain is excruciatingly agonising. Never again do I want to experience something like this.

"I don't know." She shrugs.

I'm getting more and more furious by the second and the midwife couldn't be any more supportive. She's been there for me since I stepped through the door and promised she will deliver this baby for me. Yet I seem to take all my pain and anger out on her.

"Stop rubbing my shoulders." I scream at the midwife, causing her to take a step back and hold her hands up in surrender. She puts on her blue gloves and I presume it's almost time, but not soon enough. "I need a knife. I just wanna cut the baby out."

"She's usually very sweet." Emmy jokes.

"No, I'm not!" I lash out. "I'm an evil bitch and that's why God is hurting me like this." I cry in pain. Why did I ever think I could does this. "I can't do it."

"Regina, sweetie. Sweetie. Look at me." Emma hushes softly, and instantly all my attention is on her, her soft whispers that soothe everything.

"I can't do it. I thought I could, I can't." I cry hysterically because I know Emma is the only one I can lay all my emotions out to.

" i know right now it feels like you're shitting out a pineapple." She smiles, but that's exactly how it feels.

"Yeah." I scoff.

"I know that. But trust me, this is the best thing you will ever do. So keep pushing. Keep pushing, I know you can do it." Emmys little pep talk gives me all the courage to burst through my walls and finally find the additional strength I need to keep pushing.

"OK. OK."

"Good." The midwife winks to Emma as appreciation for helping Me get through this.

(MOBILE RINGING)

"It's robin" Miranda states looking at Reginas phone. "How do I use it?" She questions looking at it with a puzzled expression. God I thought simple phone technology was basic enough for her to use, clearly not.

"Answer." Emma deeply moans.

"Miranda?" Robin questions, as his face appears on screen. FaceTime clearly isn't up to her mother's knowledge.

"Oh! Rob! Hi!" She waves completely in amaze from FaceTime.

"Your baby mommas a bit of a cougar, man." We hear from behind the camera, which can presume is another friend of his.

"That's not my wife, mate." He spits in anger and sheer panic in this moment. "Miranda, put the camera on Regina." He instructs.

"Yes, yes, I will." She turns the camera to me and instantly he sees me clutching hands with Emma, but we're past that now and we've come to a level ground where we can all agree to be civil, for the sake of this baby.

"You evil bastard. How can you not be here right now?" I yell in anger. He should be here for his baby, not for me bus for his baby.

"I know regina. I'm so sorry. I wish I was there, I really do."

"You are nearly there." The midwife interrupts as she checks how far I am dilated. Seems I'm ready to push any time now.

"OK. Miranda, put the camera down the business end. I wanna see my baby being born." He claps with excitement.

"Are you sure?" Miranda asks puzzled with her nose scrunched up in disgust.

"Yeah. Do it. Do it. Do it." He chants.

"I guess I've done worse films." Miranda shrugs and holds the phone down the lower end but makes sure she is far away from all... that action, her head remains on me. Thank god.

A wave of pain hits me again and with this contraction, I push, I push so hard I know this moment right now is where I meet my precious baby. "Come on, Regina." The midwife chants. "That's it. That's all right."

"Yeah, that's it." Robin beams.

"Baby's coming. Here we go." The midwife instructs grabbing the scissors to cut the umbilical cord ready, and in this moment reality finally hits me. My baby will be in my arms in less than a minute.

"Go on, baby, that's it." Emma cheers, I squeeze all my pain and love at the same time into Emmy's dainty little hands. " can do it, you're almost there."

"OK. OK." I nod, finding the courage and strength to another big push.

"Hey, push, push! Push! Push!" The midwife instructs.

"Push! Push!" They all chant in unison. "Keep going." Emma whispers, but isn't this entire room filled with so much emotions. Pain. Anger. Joy. Excitement. Her voice is the only thing keeping me going.

"That's it, Gina. Go on, baby. I love you." Emmy beams.

"Push! Push!" They all continue chanting down the phone and now I'm fully aware that his whole workplace is watching a baby pop out of my...

"Aghhhhh" I push with my veins popping and blood bubbling vigorously.

"I can see the head." The midwife hollers with pride and joy.

"Oh, it's coming. It's coming." Robin excitedly screams until suddenly the room falls silent and all we wait for is the moment of truth.

Come on baby! I think to myself! Let me hear those harsh cries. And suddenly the babbles and screams fill the room and we know my baby is okay.

"Regina, what is it? Boy or girl?" Robin questions as we all stare in awe.

"It's a beautiful baby...." suddenly his connection is lost.
