"Gray please calm down," Scarlet said.
She and Ethan were watching Gray pace around. They found him at the park, like were Tommy said he most likely would be. Right when they spotted him, he punched tree. Now, his knuckles bursed, bloody, and wrapped in some cloth Scarlet had. Gray hasn't spoken once since they got there, he just kept pacing. Ethan and Scarlet sat down on the ground and watched as he went back and forth.
"Why the hell are you pacing Gray?" Ethan asked. He didn't answer, just kept on pacing. "What's wrong?"
He abruptly stopped pacing and turned to him. He snapped, "did you even pay attention in Heather's office?"
"Yes," Ethan said. Gray shook his head and went back to pacing. "But I still don't see why you are pacing. I mean honestly don't you say you weren't going to choose, so why worry?"
He didn't stop, but he said, "because I am worrying about what my dad will say when he hears what I said."
"Oh."
"Hey," Lucy showed up out of nowhere, "Gray why are you pacing?"
"Let's not talk about it," Gray said harshly.
"Okay, but..."
"Trust me, you don't wanna know," Scarlet said.
"I heard you guys over talking," Lucy said quietly, "what happened between you and your dad, Gray?"
He stopped, "I...um...its nothing."
"Oh come on! I know nothing about your past and I think it would be interesting. And I already came up with a few questions."
He looked at her, "you can ask, but it's doubtful that I will tell you."
She smiled and sat down next to Scarlet. "Okay first question. Where is your birth mom?"
He tensed and in a quiet voice he said, "um...she died."
"Oh," she said, "I'm sorry."
"Why the hell are you sorry? What are you sorry for? You didn't kill her, did you? No, you didn't. You don't need to be sorry," Gray said softly, "anyway, next question."
"How did she die?"
He bit his lip, "she got murdered."
"When and how?"
He sighed, "when I was 6, it was my birthday, and my mom decided to take me to the park. It was late at night, about 10 o'clock at night. We were walking around and once we got right over there," he pointed to another bench 5 yards away. "Someone jumped out of the bushes with a gun, a silver pistol, and no one else was around. He pointed the gun at my mom saying he wanted her money. At first she said she didn't have any, but he didn't believe her. He threatened to shoot her if she didn't give him any money. So she gave him all the money she had on her. He still didn't believe her when she said it was all she had. He shoot her in the head." He put his hands in his pockets because when he was talking he was fiddling with his hands. He hasn't sat down but he wasn't pacing either. He just stood there as he spoke. His voice was a little shaky. "He turned to me and asked me if I had any money. I said no. I remember exactly what I said and what he said. He said, 'I don't believe you. I will kill you like I killed your mom, if you don't give me your money.' I said," he laughed a little. Soon his smile faded, but it didn't all the way. "I said, 'you wouldn't kill an innocent kid, would ya?' He pointed the gun at me and said, 'be careful what you say, kid.' Then he shoot me in the stomach, it was only a 22, but it hurt like hell. I fell on the floor but soon looked up at the man. I practically growled, 'I said kill not shoot.'" He licked his lips, "I continued, 'you are just a sick person who thinks its alright to take away someones life. In all retrospect you are a criminal lower then dirt. Someone who can't fend for himself and thinks it's right to steal, as well. To be honest, you couldn't shoot me, you wouldn't.' Right when I said that he pulled the gun to my head. He was about to pull the trigger when River came over and tackled him to the ground. Although he was only 9 he knew how to fight. He instantly knocked him out. He looked once at my mom and walked over to me. A lot of other stuff happened."
