Author's note: So this will be the last chapter in this book. And sorry for the ending, it sort of sucks, but to be honest, this is the first story I have ever finished. Like ever. So the ending sucks, deal with it. I've been working on the second book and I will probably publish the first chapter of that some time later. I dunno when though. Just keep an eye out for a story called, "Typically Remarkable" and enjoy this last chapter!
Gray walked down the stairs to be greeted by Lucy and Ethan. Ethan wore his tuxedo. Lucy wore a blue dress that goes down to the floor. It had on sleeve on it and there was a design on the front.
Gray's hair was still damp from his shower he just took. And he also wore his brand new tux. Lucy looked up right when she saw him come down and she smiled.
"I know I said this before, but you clean up really nicely," Lucy said.
Gray sighed, "at least my hair doesn't normally look like I've been drug through a hedge backwards," he glanced at Ethan when he said that. Ethan stuck out his tongue and wrinkled his nose. Gray wrinkled his nose back at Ethan, but only for a split second.
"So where's Scarlet?" Lucy rolled her eyes at the boys.
"Upstairs, getting ready."
"Why isn't she at her house?" Ethan asked.
"Because she felt like getting ready here for some odd reason. Also her stuff was ready here and she probably didn't feel like taking it to her house to get changed just to come back over here." Gray shrugged, "I dunno, that was a wild guess."
"May it be a wild guess, but that's the reason," Scarlet came down and stood next to Gray. "Very good, now that everyone is here-"
"Let's go party!" Ethan yelled, running out to the car.
Gray glanced at Scarlet, "and you were worried about me. He does realize that this isn't a party like he's thinking of, right?"
She laughed as she followed Gray out to the car, not even answering his question. She just took it as a rhetorical question, that of which, it was. They drove for three hours until they reached the capital. They parked in the parking lot of the building the party was being held at. Some fancy, big building.
People wearing fancy clothing walked from their cars into the building. Gray glanced around when they got in the room. It was a ballroom with decorations everywhere. Tables were set up along the walls and people dancing were in the middle of the room. They were dancing to the waltz.
Gray cringed when he saw what dance they were doing. Gray doesn't dance. He never has and he hopes he will never. Just the idea of him dancing makes him wince. Although he really does have great rhythm, he doesn't dance. Also he doesn't sing. He doesn't like doing any of that sort.
Scarlet notcied him cringing and she laughed. "What's wrong?"
He sat down at an empty table. "You know I hate dancing."
"Ah," she sounded disappointed. "But I wanna dance."
"Well, go dance."
She sighed, crossed her arms, "I mean, I wanna dance with you."
Gray glanced up at Scarlet, raising an eyebrow, "no way I am doing that."
Ethan laughed, "what's wrong with dancing?"
Gary shrugged, "I just don't dance."
Lucy smiled, "but it's fun!"
"No." Ethan and Lucy exchanged glances with Scarlet and they all looked back at Gray. Gray sighed. "I am not going to dance, even i you drag me out onto the dance floor. I will just stand there and nothing will change my mind."
