Liam collected Sam from his house and they got into Liam's car. Sam didn't know why but he was nervous, this was the first actual date he had been on.

Liam was nervous too, clutching the steering wheel a little too hard. Breathing deeply, he noticed Sam was looking at him.

"Sorry I don't know why but I'm nervous"

Sam breathed a huge sigh of relief "oh thank god im so nervous too"

They both laughed gratefully "I don't know why. It's not like we don't know each other" he paused smiling cheekily "and it's not like we haven't kissed before"

Sam blushed "yeah maybe we just need to relax, there is nothing different between this and a normal day"

Liam smiled "yeah ok let's go"

He continued to drive, allowing his shoulders to relax. He took Sam's hand and running his thumb over Sam's knuckles, he kissed it. Sam calmed down immediately, he liked Liam and Liam liked him. End of. It was going to be a good day.

They parked and wandered around the town, this one was further south and was on the coast. Sam breathed deeply, filling his lungs with ocean air.

They messed around for the whole day, teasing each other. They got ice cream from a stand, Sam got coconut and was happily eating his, asking Liam what he got.

"Strawberry"

Sam's eyes widened

"No not really they didn't have any, I had to get raspberry instead" he pouted, pretending to be upset.

Sam shoved him giggling " Can I try?"

Liam smiled "yeah sure"

Sam took the moment and a spark of confidence he didn't know he possessed, and kissed Liam.

Sam pulled back licking his lips "mmm it's good"

Liam stared at the other boy and how much he had changed. Sam has gone from a grumpy, quiet but secretly caring boy, to happy, romantic and utterly irresistible. Liam loved both Sams because he knew that this was just a side of Sam he didn't show anyone else. Liam's heart was full.

"Sam"

"Yeah?" His grey eyes were clear and Liam felt himself falling into them. He brushed the corn coloured hair out of Sam's face

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

Sam went though different emotions- surprise, excitement, happiness and settled on just kissing the other boy again.

"Of course"

Liam felt like he was on cloud nine. He rubbed his neck shyly and a scatter of pink covered his cheeks. He couldn't handle how cute the boy in front of him was.

Sam dragged them onto the beach, kicking his shoes off he ran into the sea cooling his feet "Come on boyfriend!" Sam turned to face the sea "It's so beautiful".

Sam felt Liam's arms snake round him and his back was pressed against Liam's chest. Kissing Sam's neck Liam couldn't help but say "I know something more beautiful"

Sam rolled his eyes, laughing "Ughhh you're so cheesy"

Liam mocked being taken aback "what are you talking about? I'm talking about me!"

Sam punched Liam's arm as Liam let go of him. "Shut up"

"What? I'm not lying I mean have you looked at me?" Liam joked

Sam started to walk off, joking he was upset.

Liam tackled Sam to the ground laughing, pushing him into the sand "I keep thinking about all those times I almost kissed you, the first was the last time we were positioned like this". Liam smiled down at Sam. "I wish I had earlier... I was afraid"

Sam pretended to try and fight Liam off and then gave up "I was afraid too" Sam whispered, pushing Liam's hair out of his eyes.

Liam traced Sam's jawline with his finger before letting Sam back up. "Say it again"

They brushed themselves off.

"What?"

Liam repeated "Say it again, I want to see your face this time"

Sam got the hint "You, the honourable Liam Jones, are sadly the boyfriend of Sir Samuel Carson" Sam giggled

Liam kissed him "I love hearing you say it"

"You're my boyfriend" Sam said simply.

"And you, mine"

They spent the rest of the day at the beach, playing on the sand and scaring away approaching seagulls.

"Let's go to the chippy" Liam dragged Sam up "I'm paying remember"

Sam's eyes shone "oh thank god I was worried you had booked somewhere fancy"

Liam chuckled "Chippies are in most of my good childhood memories, I want this to be a day I remember forever"

Sam grinned "It's perfect"

They walked hand in hand, not caring who saw them. Getting fish and chips, they sat back on the beach and ate their food out of newspaper, watching the sun go down.

By the time they had got back, the sun had completely gone but Sam felt like a piece of it was in his heart, giving energy to his body.

Liam kissed him goodbye in the car and they got out, going to their respective houses. Sam wasn't sure he could sleep but he lay in bed staring at the ceiling.

Liam: thanks for today, boyfriend

Sam smiled at the name and then decided on the biggest decision of his life. The decision not to lie about himself, to stay true to what made him, him.

Sam: I'm going to tell my parents tomorrow

Liam: Wow ok, well I fully support you. Do you want me to be there?

Sam: No... In case things get ugly

Liam: will you be ok?

Sam: Yeah I have Paige don't worry

Liam: Come over after ok

Sam: of course :) goodnight, Liam

Liam: I miss you even when I've just seen you

Sam: 8 hours until I wake up, 12 until I see you next. I've been counting.

Liam: How is that supposed to stop me coming over there?

Sam: Because when I next see you, I will not be lying anymore.

It had been half a year since Sam and Liam had first met, three weeks of them being together and Liam still felt like kid when he thought of Sam.
