Liam was making lunch a week later when he got Sam's call.

"Let's go get ice cream" Sam giggled.

"What?" Liam laughed at Sam

"Come on, old man. I'll meet you outside in ten."

Liam chuckled and hung up. Shoveling some food into his mouth, he quickly got ready.

Sam was a couple of minutes early "I couldn't wait"

Liam laughed again at Sam's silliness and kissed his head. "I don't know what's going on but I don't care"

Sam took them to an ice cream shop where they ordered their usual. Sam then chose a table, taking them to ome outside.

"Ok what's going on, Carson"

Sam grinned "you want the good news or the even better news"

Liam chuckled "ok give me the good news first"

"Tyler and the other guys have been expelled! The headmaster rang me to tell me. One of the guys told on the others so that he would not get it on his permanent record. They have all moved schools" Sam cheered.

Liam smiled sadly "I just wish you didn't have to get hurt for this to happen"

Sam rolled his eyes "Can you be positive for one minute? We seem to have switched roles"

Liam laughed and ate his ice cream "You're right, Sam"

Sam smiled "I always am"

Liam looked up "Hmmm not always.. remember when we went to that party and..."

Sam groaned "you dick"

Liam laughed "You got pretty mad that night"

Sam blushed "I thought I was mad at you kissing Amber but I realised I was upset because I... well I liked you"

Liam smiled "well I was so confused... I thought you might like me back but then you kissed Emily and I didn't know anymore"

Sam took Liam's hand in his "Well we got there eventually"

"Yeah... we did" Liam's heart was full

They finished their ice cream and started walking home.

"Hang on! What was the even better thing?"

Sam grinned again "Ummm well I won that writing competition" Sam rubbed his neck "and it meant the competition people sent a letter of recommendation to Oxford and... well I got in"

Liam lifted Sam up and hugged him, twirling him around "HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME THAT IMMEDIATELY"

Sam was giggling "Shhh I haven't told my parents yet"

Liam put Sam down and held his face "God I love you"

"I love you too, Liam" Sam smiled "And now we won't be far away from each other next year"

Liam kissed Sam intensely before pulling away "I have the best boyfriend ever"

Sam quickly kissed Liam again, not ever getting used to how good it felt to kiss him "hmmm except we will be rivals for the next few years"

"Oooo sexy" Liam smirked "We can have a secret, passionate relationship that no one knows about"

Sam rolled his eyes and smirked "Shut up, you"

Liam chuckled and leaned in, kissing Sam again, he hadn't had enough of Sam's lips either.

"HEY! Lovebirds! Cut it out!" Sam heard Paige yelling from her open window.

Sam and Liam looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"Come on" Sam said "I'll make us dinner"

Liam watched Sam make them ravioli. Liam had been banished to a stool by the kitchen island. He had started distracting Sam, kissing his neck and hugging him from behind. Sam had enough when the pasta almost boiled over.

"Sit on the stool.You're in time out Mr." Sam huffed.

Liam pouted and complained for the rest of the time it took Sam to make dinner "Aww Sam" he whined "Its your fault for being so irresistible" Liam teased.

Sam went red "it's things like that, that cause accidents in the kitchen! I can't focus!"

Liam chuckled and looked round as Sam's parents entered.

"Oh Sam honey thanks for making dinner" Sam's mum cooed "Liam! So good to see you!"

Liam got up to hug Sam's mum and shake Sam's dad's hand. "Good to be here"

Sam's mum smiled as they sat down for dinner, Paige ran downstairs soon after hearing the plates being brought out.

Liam stepped in "Sam has news!"

Sam blushed "Yes well the school has expelled the guys who... you know"

Sam's mum spoke happily as Sam's dad nodded. They were all happy it was over.

Liam rolled his eyes at his boyfriend "the other thing, Sam"

Sam glared at Liam before finally giving up, he usually hated the attention on him but Liam pushed him.

"I won the writing competition... It's going to be in the paper" Sam started

Sam's mum cheered and got up to hug Sam and Paige slapped his back in congratulations.

"That's not it... They sent my story and a letter of recommendation to Oxford and well... I got in"

Sam's mum started crying. Sam's dad tried to comfort her and Paige screamed.

"OH MY GOD SAM!! IM GOING TO BUY A CAKE" Paige ran out of the house before anyone could stop her.

Liam chuckled, watching the chaos around him.

Sam sighed and started making some tea, he hated when everyone was focusing on him. He was secretly really happy though. He finally felt like he was good enough.

He entered the room again and saw his mum had calmed down. Everyone turned when he reentered and Sam's heart melted at the proud look in Liam's eyes.

"Sam, I'm so happy for you" Sam's dad started

Sam's mum continued "We would be proud of anything you did but we know this is what you wanted to do"

Liam spoke up "You're making you dream come true. No one else did it for you Sam, you worked for it"

Sam sat back down, leaning into Liam, wanting to be as close as possible to the man he loved. Sam's parents smiled at them.

They all jumped as Paige crashed back into the house breathing heavily. "Got it! Managed to get there just before they closed!" She carried a big cake in her arms, putting it down on the table

Sam chuckled and helped her cut them all a slice. He hugged his sister, he could see how much she was trying and he loved her for it.

"Love you, sis" he whispered. Paige wiped away some small tears that had formed. "Love you too, Sammy"
