Finally the exams were over and Sam and Liam spent every second making up for lost time.

Liam's birthday arrived. It also happened to be on the same day as the big football game but that was ok because the year usually had a huge party anyway.

Sam woke up before everyone was awake and started baking. He managed to come up with a recipe for Victoria sponge cupcakes and wanted to try them out for Liam's birthday.

Once he had finished baking, he saw that the clock showed 8am meaning Liam's mum was awake and ready to let him in.

He crept next door and Liam's mum smiled as she saw the cakes in Sam's arms. She was so glad her son had someone so great.

Sam chose a cupcake and put it on a plate. He walked upstairs and found Liam's room. Pushing the door open quietly, he walked in, sitting on the edge of Liam's bed, putting the plate on Liam's nightstand.

"Morning, handsome" Sam whispered, stroking Liam's hair. He loved seeing how peaceful Liam looked.

Liam shifted and stretched before his eyes met Sam's. Liam's chestnut eyes met Sam's clear grey ones and Liam wished he could wake up every morning to the beautiful face that was looking at him.

"Hey, gorgeous do you come here often?" Liam joked.

Sam smiled and joined in "Hmmm actually not that much"

Liam suddenly moved, pushing Sam on the bed and pinning him beneath him. "Let's change that" he whispered seductively into Sam's ear. Liam started kissing Sam's neck.

Sam moaned before realising what he actually came in there for. "Ok, enough" he giggled "Do you not know what day it is?"

Liam didn't care "what?" He continued to kiss Sam's neck.

Sam pushed him up and they looked at each other "Happy Birthday, my love"

Liam's eyes softened "God I completely forgot!" Liam laughed cheekily "I got so distracted"

Sam rolled his eyes smiling "I brought you cake"

Liam bit into the cake and sighed "Never stop baking for me, promise?"

Sam laughed "I'm glad you like it"

"LIAMMM" Lily screamed and Sam thanked god that they had stopped kissing when they did.

Lily threw herself at her brother and tackled him onto the bed "YOU'RE SO OLDDD"

Sam chuckled and smirked "You're even starting to lose your hair, old man"

Liam's eyes narrowed "I am not! Your older than me!" Lily and Sam cackled. Liam had a cheeky look on his face "and if you stopped pulling my hair, maybe I wouldn't be baldin—"

He was cut off as Sam shoved the rest of his cake into his face "Shut up"

Lily got up and groaned "I hate couples"

Liam chuckled as Sam went bright red. Watching Lily leave, Sam turned to Liam. "What was that for?"

"I'm marking my territory!"

Sam laughed "You're lucky I cant be mad at you on your birthday" then without thinking, he used his finger to take some of the whipped cream and jam off Liam's jaw. He licked it off and moaned at the taste "damn I am good at baking"

Liam had been watching Sam the whole time and couldn't help the tightness in his trousers "S-Sam" grey eyes met brown ones as Sam realised what he had done.

"Fuck. Sorry!" Sam panicked "I'll let you clean up your face and—" He started to back out of the room.

"Sam come back" Liam laughed "it's ok" he kissed his boyfriend deeply "I love you, thank you for all of this"
