Sam suddenly woke up, realising it was Saturday. Today was the day Liam was meeting his parents (again). As the day approached the evening, Sam felt butterflies in his stomach.

Sam: ready?

Liam: too late to back out?

Sam: A bit :)

Liam: I'll be over in an hour. Good job I like you this much... I don't think I've ever been so nervous.

Sam ran downstairs to tell his parents that his boyfriend would be over soon. Paige smirked at Sam's fear to tell his parents that his 'boyfriend' was in fact their neighbour, Liam.

The doorbell suddenly rang and Sam felt sick opening the door. But as his eyes met Liam's, he felt it all disappear. They smiled at each other, Liam's worry lines cleared.

"Oh hello Liam! Is your mother ok? What do you need?" Sam's mum hadn't caught on.

"Umm mum... It's Liam" Sam struggled to get out.

Sam's mum was still confused "what's that honey?" Paige chuckled at the ridiculousness and Sam's dad quirked a smile.

Sam rolled his eyes and said more confidently "Liam, mum! Liam is my boyfriend"

Understanding dawned on Sam's mum's face "oh"

"So..." Sam was nervous again as Liam shifted from foot to foot.

"Thank god for that" Sam's mum breathed

Sam glanced up "what?"

Sam's mum chuckled "well I was really worried about meeting your new boyfriend and not liking him but now I know it's Liam, I'm more than happy"

Sam smiled in relief as his mum continued "now I don't have to worry! Liam you're a wonderful boy and to know you are the one who has been making Sam so happy, makes my heart feel complete"

Sam smiled at Liam "told you"

Liam smiled as well as Sam's mum hugged him "Thank you, Mrs. Carson"

"Hang on!" Sam's mum gently slapped Liam's arm "go back to your house and bring your mother and sister. We can have a proper dinner now!"

Liam smiled and exited the house again.

"You're really happy?" Sam smiled at his mum

"Yes! This couldn't be more perfect. He is so lovely"

"And hot" Paige added.

"Hands off" Sam mock glared

They all laughed and Sam's dad went to make the tea while Sam's mum started on dinner.

They had everything prepared when Liam arrived with his mum and sister in tow.

"Sorry we took so long, Liam told me it was important so I had to get changed" Liam's mum laughed "what's going on?"

Liam smiled and pulled Sam to him "Mum, me and Sam are dating. Sam's mum has invited us to dinner so we can all meet... again" The Carson's laughed.

Liam's mum's eyes softened and she pulled Sam into a warm and strong hug "Oh this is so great!"

"That's what I said" Sam's mum chuckled.
