Sebastian's POV
I looked at her confused face. She was a delicate angel but everybody had clipped her wings. I was going to fix them and watch her soar into the sky."You don't need to do that," she mumbled, anxiously tapping her fingers against her thigh.
"I know I don't need to. But I want to."
"Why?" She asked. Her eyes were studying with me. She wanted to fight it but deep down she begging me to hear her and take her out of there. I could feel it in my bones.
"I might sound like a major creep right now; so if I scare you, please hit me over the head with a book or something," I said, biting my lip waiting anxiously for her reaction.
"Okay?" She nodded her in understanding.
I took a deep breath and confessed everything to her. "Ever since freshman year, I've been watching you... Not watching you but more like watching over you. I can't explain it. I'm drawn you. Everything you do replicates a two year old yet your tell me you have the soul of an eighty year old. I -" I tried to talk more but I was cut off by her.
"Three year old," She stated with a pout growing on her face.
"What?" I asked surprised.
"Everything I do replicates a three year old. I'm a big girl," She said burrowing her eyebrows in frustration.
I looked at her puzzled when her face turned a deep red. She snapped suddenly and said flustered, "Um... S-Sorry. Go on."
I let it go and carried on, "As I was saying, I've been watching over you. Especially ever since Jasmine left. When I saw what Justin was doing, I wanted to hurt him. But when I heard what your father did, I am definitely going to hurt him."
Her eyes went wide with fear. "No! No no no. He'll kill you. Then he'll hurt me," she said with tears starting to roll down her cheek.
I went towards her and gently wiped away her tears and kisses her forehead. "I won't let him hurt you. Never again. Nobody will ever hurt you again. I promise I will always protect you if you let me. Do you think you can do that for me? Let me keep you safe?" I asked her.
She nodded and wrapped her arms around my neck. I picked her up and carried her to the chair where I sat down with her in my lap. I rubbed circles into her back.
"Thank you, Savannah. I promise I won't let you down."
"Pinky Promise?" She asked with her pinky finger sticking out.
"Pinky promise," I said while crooning my pinky finger against hers.
After my promise was sealed, I told her the plan. We were going to go her father's house. She was going to pack a bag with her most precious belongings while I talked to her dad. I was going to threaten to call the police if he didn't let her go. Then if everything went okay, she would come back and stay with me for awhile until she figured out what she wanted to do. A part of me secretly hoped she would stay permanently, but that was her choice to make and I wasn't going to try to pressure her into it if she didn't want to.
